  • Unable to drive up to the view point, was stopped at the entrance of the village. 50 baht / pax (pick-up car) to reach view point. Entrance fee 20 Baht. Nice view on the sun rise... was there at befor...  more »
  • Admission dibandrol 20 Baht per person. Long-time pengen here. You originally wanted to visit while the sun rises however as there is no agency that organises special here while if special mencharter certainly should drain dopet. I finally join the joint tour scheduled here. Unfortunately arrived late afternoon so that the views of a relatively ordinary. Maybe next time if a visit to Pai again I'll here see the sunrise by renting a motorcycle. It seems really good.

  • Amazing views over the valley and town of Pai. 20baht entrance fee and you get a pot of Chinese tea to drink whilst you watch the sky change colour. The sun sets behind you but it is worth a visit
  • I drove the car all the way to the top. Beautiful scenary. Only sad thing on my visit, it was a very cloudy day and i dont get to see what i hope for.
  • Stunning views over there. Also you can enjoy pure Chinese tea. Usually not crowded. Cheers!
  • This place is oversold in my opinion. The view is okay, but underwhelming. This may have been due to visiting in the afternoon rather than sunset/sunrise. There is free tea with your entrance ticket, although this wasn't obvious at our visit, so we missed out! Make sure you've got a good bike is you're sharing, we didn't make it up the last hill. :)
  • Beautiful views. Sunrise is the best time to come. 20baht each to get in. The last Hill up to the look out is super steep make sure your bike is in good shape. Ours didn't make it up!

Where to stay in Pai

With tourism now the number-one industry in the area, you shouldn't have any trouble finding accommodations in Pai. In fact, on a walk through the village center you'll be hard-pressed to find a street that doesn't have several hotels or guesthouses. The village's popularity among backpackers means you can choose from a range of hostels and budget guesthouses. Luxury accommodations are more limited, although with a host of excellent mid-range options you can stay in comfort without spending big bucks. When Pai is at its busiest, between November and March, try something on the fringes of the village for a quieter, more peaceful holiday.
