  • The weather was very cloudy when we were there, so we couldn't catch the sunrise. However, if you go during the season, this is the place for great view and sunrise! Careful the slope is very steep. D...  more »
  • This viewpoint is worth a visit whilst in Pai! On the drive up, there are stunning views and at the top is no different. There is a 20 Baht (£0.45) entry fee, which isn't loads. There are so many free...  more »

  • Stunning views over there. Also you can enjoy pure Chinese tea. Usually not crowded. Cheers!
  • This place is oversold in my opinion. The view is okay, but underwhelming. This may have been due to visiting in the afternoon rather than sunset/sunrise. There is free tea with your entrance ticket, although this wasn't obvious at our visit, so we missed out! Make sure you've got a good bike is you're sharing, we didn't make it up the last hill. :)
  • Beautiful views. Sunrise is the best time to come. 20baht each to get in. The last Hill up to the look out is super steep make sure your bike is in good shape. Ours didn't make it up!
  • Entrance fee of 20 Baht The last slope to this viewpoint is very steep You got the view of the Pai city here, tranquil and very peace, recommended!
  • Great view over the valley from a Chinese compound of huts. 20 Bath to get in. There's a tree here decorated with charms.

Where to stay in Pai

With tourism now the number-one industry in the area, you shouldn't have any trouble finding accommodations in Pai. In fact, on a walk through the village center you'll be hard-pressed to find a street that doesn't have several hotels or guesthouses. The village's popularity among backpackers means you can choose from a range of hostels and budget guesthouses. Luxury accommodations are more limited, although with a host of excellent mid-range options you can stay in comfort without spending big bucks. When Pai is at its busiest, between November and March, try something on the fringes of the village for a quieter, more peaceful holiday.
