Pai Canyon, Pai

(4.1/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
Thin, red ridges with sheer drops on either side create the steep, forest-filled valleys of Pai Canyon. Climb the steps to the viewing platform to enjoy sweeping views. You can head further down the valley following the path of the ridge, but the poorly maintained track follows a precarious route, so be extra careful if you decide to hike. Because it lacks shade, the path is best tackled in the morning or afternoon. • Lovers of sensation, go ahead! The views are breathtaking :) It is still required to have a good physical condition and clothes that were not afraid to get dirty! ;) Need to sneak in some very narrow or steep paths... But the views are sublime! It must be wonderful when the sun goes down...

  • The Pai Canyon should visit one preferably in the evening before sunset. The place is crowded a little, but if you got enough time left, certainly worth a visit. The reddish rock in the evening sun is especially beautiful to look at.

  • Nice place to enjoy the sunset! From the parking lot to the first view point it's only a 5min walk over some stairs. The first viewpoints are very crowded near sunset though. If you go further and are more adventurous you can climb to more secluded parts of the "canyon" and have a more private experience.
  • Beautifull spot in pai, 15 min drive by motorbike, recommended to get there on sunset
  • A bit crowdy but a must see. Free parking for cars and scooters. Easy walk up a few stairs and then climbing and hiking from platform to platform. No entrance fee.
  • Lovely place for a walk. No signage so don't stray off the path too much! Beautiful scenery.
  • Pai's very own "Grand Canyon". The Pai Canyon is a series of sandy ridges that you can scramble up and down in. Best to wear covered shoes with good soles as the paths get very narrow and slippery in some places.
