Mor Paeng Waterfall, Pai

2.9
#4 of 6 in Nature in Pai
Waterfall Nature / Park
The scenic hike to Mor Paeng Waterfall and the panoramic view from the height of the rock make this a rewarding attraction from start to finish. Take the easy walking trail through lush forestry to the fall. The water rushes down a crevice in the gently sloping rock face, creating a shallow swimming pool below. Bring your bathing suit to dip into the cool waters, or picnic on the rocks while taking in some of the sun's rays. Note that the highly popular waterfall tends to get crowded as the day goes on. • You can swim at this waterfall. There is also the possibility to climb up a bit and over the rocks to slide down.

  • Maybe it's good when it's sunny, but on a rainy day it's super slippery and you can't do anything. Bring picnic  more »
  • Waterfall as I've seen them better. Best get the bike by all the ways you can and visit the surrounding villages.

  • Great waterfalls, Ive been twice and it was really nice. A lot of people to hangout with. There is a little restaurant where you can eat or buy water. Easily accessible with a little walk in the forest.
  • Not very exciting. Multi tier waterfall but not much more than a small splash. Watch out; slippery rocks. Waterfall is partly fed by water from pipes (at least, I hope it's water). There are restrooms here (squat toilets) and a small food shop. Please don't leave your trash here, there's a lot lying around.
  • A waterfall who doesnt make any noise is just not a waterfall....even a Small one....nothing amazing .... cant even swim there
  • Bit of a drive out for a simple waterfall. You can slide off the falls into some shallow water but there is almost nothing else to see. Would suggest another great waterfall in the area or some of the hot springs
  • Nice place to chill for a while. Runs a little dry in high season, if you want to swim I'd suggest PamBok waterfall instead. Both are 2 mins walk away from carpark area.

Where to stay in Pai

With tourism now the number-one industry in the area, you shouldn't have any trouble finding accommodations in Pai. In fact, on a walk through the village center you'll be hard-pressed to find a street that doesn't have several hotels or guesthouses. The village's popularity among backpackers means you can choose from a range of hostels and budget guesthouses. Luxury accommodations are more limited, although with a host of excellent mid-range options you can stay in comfort without spending big bucks. When Pai is at its busiest, between November and March, try something on the fringes of the village for a quieter, more peaceful holiday.
