Swarmed by people who were in the flower beds and shot wild photos. Me something unintelligible there the architecture nor the Buddhas particularly outstanding were. Conclusion: not worth it. Better WAT Tham Phu in Udon Thani just look at.

I came here 14 years ago when the temple complex must have been at the height of its glory. Well-maintained gardens, buildings and walkways enhanced the "temple-intertwined-with-nature" experience. My... more »

D... more »Wat Tham Klong Pen is a Wat in the middle of a beautiful old forest. With huge trees and a legendary calm. Not many visitors. Wat is in a cave or huge rounded rocks. The floor is nicely tiled and the whole plant is very clean and tidy. The mausoleum which is about 2 km away in the same area, you can go there, Lung Phu Khao Analoyo is a reminder for the famous monk. It contains memorabilia such as his bat Bowl, umbrella, stick, or his glasses. The building was built with the financial support of the Royal family. The Royal family was there, too, to show respect to the monk.

Just a warning for anyone expecting to visit the main "cave" temple hall of Wat Tham Klong Pane. They have completely torn it down (the concrete roof, which in reality formed most of the "cave") and have started on a rebuild. There is plenty else to see elsewhere in this extensive wat so don't not come but it is very changed. I have added some before and after photos below plus a photo of what they are planning to build on the same site.

Kathawut ChomkaewJuly 25, 2017Wat Luang Pu's White Star layo The Phu Luang POO to stable cable innovator of show more. Medallion strap Honorable jungle Temple. Guti pagoda, Museum and also has a large rock and a lot of.
堤昌宏April 24, 2017There was no temple in kmuthasai is of interest here than just caved in to turn off the Rocky, rather than made in a natural cave (lol) a little disappointing. Stopovers in the Nombre buses from the new bus station in Udon Thani, can be reached in about a 2 km walk. Udon Thani's new bus station is far from the city center is Nombre bound not to go because he is running for this problem!
