  • Hired a driver to take us to this location. Way out in the country. Fascinating use of buddhas surrounding the Wat. Unusual color at Angkhan. Great photographic opportunities.
  • As one of the beautiful temples in the country, Thailand. If you've visited Sydney should also visit the watch. Certificate that has value, visit nakha pulp.

  • Wat Khao Angkhan Khao Phra Angkhan is an extinct volcano mentioned in the legend of “That Phanom” in 535 B.C, Buddha’s ashes were placed here. In 1977, Phra Achan Panyawutthitho came to build a temple on the hilltop and moved the Buddha’s ashes to store in the stupa on the top of ubosoth which built in a unique style combining Thai arts of various periods. Surrounding the “ubosoth” are ancient sema stones (boundary stones) from the Dvaravati period made of basalt. On these semas are bas-reliefs of person, stupa, lotus and wheel of Dharma dating back to the 8th – 9th century, or about 1,300 years ago. Thus proving that Buddhism has been settled here since the ancient time. The wát also hosts a Chinese-style pagoda, a 29m reclining Buddha and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Khao Phra Angkhan is a wide based hill formed by a volcano erupted in the Quaternary period (some 700,000 years ago). From the top its shape looks like a garuda spreading its wings with its head pointing to the south. The main vent is at the summit of Khao Kraduk (Khao Pa Cha). Location: Chaloem Phra Kiat District, Buri Ram, Thailand Note there is no public transport in the area you will need your own transport to visit the temple. See attached google maps for more info’. GPS coordinates (WGS 84): N 14.534291, E 102.834639 Camera Used: Nikon D5200 with Tokina 11-16mm lens. Processing in Photo elements 11 and Gimp 2.8
  • A measure that is on one of the volcano that is off is the name of the province of buriram. If you visit during the dry season it is drought. If you want to calm, shady, cooler, it should come in the rainy season.

  • Hi guys this measure upwards, looking down from a cubicle, it's pretty much. Do not inadvertently agree to beautiful architecture. Don't miss the decisive moment.
