  • Interesting demonstration of making local cotton thread, dying and weaving. The rooms in the house are laid out to give an impression of how people lived in traditional teak houses.  more »

  • Nice old northern style house with the age of 198 years. It's one of the Nan city trolley tour stops
  • Historic local house with original pieces of wood. Trying to decorate ground floor with commercial goods but they are not matched with the house. Those on second floor are fantastic.
  • The place is called House of Chao Fongkham, commonly referred to as Nan Noble House. It's actually a teak house of around 150 years of age and built in a classic Northern Thai style. The late Chao Fongkham was a descendant of Chao Anantaworarithidej, the 62nd Lord of Nan and the father of the last two Lords. It's interesting to walk around the house to see different rooms (living/ bedroom/ kitchen) which exhibit the good old ways of life. Besides, there's this small museum displaying antique and silverware to browse further. For those interested in local handicrafts and woven fabrics, do visit the basement area. There are looms on display, usually with demonstration on how to weave a famous fabric - the Lai Nam Lai (ผ้าลายน้ำไหล).
  • a historic house.
  • Very nice historical building.
