  • If you're driving between Nan (city) and Pua on route 1080 then recommend a visit. Well laid out gallery with some of the local artists available to answer questions about the exhibits.  more »
  • I found this the most pleasant gallery I ever seen geb. Maybe it's the location ... tropical shrubs and Thai green trees surround the stylish but authentic looking building where the art is. The delicious carefully prepared Thai coffee where you a small glass served to blossom tea at makes you feel welcome there. The Brown River that flows along there and the trip on the motorbike by the mountains and hills there prior set the right tone. No cold white museum this time, but modern and authentic art of a high level. A quiet place about half an hour away by motor bike (60 km/h) of the city of Nan.

  • I've read about this gallery and had high expectations, and have to admit: I'm a bit disappointed. It's a lot of good art in the gallery, but they don't offer guide, catalogue or information of any qu...  more »

  • Cheap for visiting (20 baht, Feb 2017). Scenic with Nan River views. Car parks are a bit risky coz tree trunks may drop onto cars anytime.
  • This is the place where you can learn about Nan Bua Pan, the Tai Lue mural artist, who painted the Whispering mural in Wat Pumin, Nan province.
  • Definitely worth an hour or two of your time to see some very clever and talented artists' work.
  • Nice Photo,Nice view, Nice food&drink.Recommend for this place. LOVE here so much.
  • The gallery is a short drive away from Nan city (some road constructions are underway) and it's well worth it. Established by Winai Prabripoo, a Nan native and a famous Thai artist, this is a hidden treasure of Nan. Quite an impressive range of work from both renowned and local artists will take turn to be exhibited in this art gallery. You can appreciate paintings, sculptures, other forms of arts in a serene atmosphere. As this place is located on the bank of the Nan River, it has an advantage of pristine surroundings that compliments the interior design of the gallery building. Check out the cafe, coffee is very good (views are even better). Open daily except Wednesday from 8.30 am - 5 pm.

Where to stay in Nan

You'll be hard pressed to find five-star accommodations in Nan, but the city does offer plenty of cozy budget choices. Hostels and guesthouses cater to backpackers with basic rooms and dorm-style lodgings, while hotels offer amenities like hot water, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi. If you prefer to splurge on your Nan trip, look for resorts located on the outskirts and in the city center, but do not expect the luxurious treatment offered by the larger centers.
