Samphran Elephant Ground & Zoo, Nakhon Pathom

Categories: Zoos & Aquariums, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
3/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web
Ride on the back of an elephant at Samphran Elephant Ground & Zoo, or view one of the daily shows featuring these gentle giants playing soccer and reenacting historical battles. The zoo allows you to get up close to the creatures and feed them fruit and sugar cane, and during the breaks between shows you can ride them around the local garden. Catch one of the crocodile shows to see trainers wrestle and play with the reptiles. The zoo houses a small collection of other animal species, including twin Bengal tigers, and lets you take pictures with them for an extra charge. Note that multiple visitors have reported less than desirable conditions for the animals here; if you're concerned about this, you may want to research the latest reviews or consider visiting a facility that focuses on conservation rather then entertainment. • The place has beautiful Bengal Tigers, which unfortunately was in poor physical condition, tied with a string to the neck which prevented him from raising the head. Sad made me cry. The crocodiles show is almost painful, pressed the animal to participate, staff risks his life by placing their head between fangs. I had the privilege of Petting elephants and their babies, one of the animals most tender that I've been able to touch. I understand that the zoos exist so that we can have contacts with the beautiful species that has our planet, but unfortunately many do not protect the welfare of these animals, visits generate the livelihoods of these animals and the staff. You need much renovation and conditioning of the Habitat of these animals.

  • Quite controversial. At the outset, he meets a tiger in a cage, strapped for everything possible with chains to the floor-just to be able to deal with it to take a photo. Then the elephant show. Well ... could it be considered as an interesting ... Elephants do not appear to be abused. But it is a demonstration of crocodiles-żenada. Two guys onslaught of two crocodiles sticks, I don't know why, because we in the middle of this attraction and we went to watch the crocodiles on farms. And it happens to be in this place cool, lots of crocodiles, divided into species and separated by age. At the exit to the right is a garden of orchids, worth a look. Generally, however, I do not recommend.
