  • Budha relics found contain 3 layers containers made of gold silver and broze in 1979. Stupa construction around 1986 to contain the relics found. Later study unveil this area used to be an ancient city call Nakorn Champasri dating 1300 years back. Stupa has 16 floors, relics in 8th floor. Infront of stupa is souvenir shop and donation counter. Similar to many other large Phra That temples, visitor were required to dress properly. Pants or skirt must be long. Road to temple is good. Large parking space. Short distance between car park and stupa.
  • Phra That Nadun Location: Wapi Pathum District, Maha Sarakham How to get there: Take Highway No.2040 from Maha Sarakham town center, pass Jae Dam District, Wapi Pathum District and turn right to Highway No.2045 to Nadun District. It is 65 km from the town center. GPS Coordinates (WGS84): N 15.703187, E 103.227097 Thai Name: “กองทุนพัฒนาและอนุรักษ์พระบรมธาตุนาดูน” Phra That Nadun was built to house the Lord Buddha’s relics found in a small pagoda in the nearby area. It is assumed to be built during Dvaravati period in 8th – 10th century A.D. Phra That features a pagoda built with 3 tiers. The first tier or the base is used for ceremony which some may involve walking clockwise. The second and third tiers are decorated with miniatures of Phra That at all 4 corners. The third tier is where the bell-shaped pagoda stands.
  • Nothing much to do except visiting Phra That. You may pay respect to Phra That from any side. However, there was only one shop selling candle and incense. You may also donate money for many purposes such as maintenance cost, fixing bad luck, supporting Buddhist, and so on.
  • Holy place for people to pray, the famous place and the center for the north eastern people in this area to come at the buddism activities
