  • This national park is found about 3 kms off the main highway from Muaeng Tak. I took the van heading to Maesot for 73 Baht and told the driver to drop me by the park's entrance. Like all parks, there'...  more »

  • Lan Sang National Park - expand for detailed review Overall Rating: 2 (1-5 points) - Route: 5 - Scenery: 3 - Exercise: 5 - Activities: 3 - Park Maintenance: 1 - Personell: 4 - English proficiency: 1 - Services: 2 - Entrance Fee: 4 - Guest houses: 4 - Camp ground: 3 - Parking: 5 Pro: - Easy to reach from Tak via route 12, ca 25min - Nice pools under waterfalls for swimming - 4 separate waterfalls. 150m - 2200m distance from main building. - Has campground and guest houses - Nice visitor center - Low entrance fee, 20 THB for Thais and 100 THB for foreigners - Good for exercise, often steep climbs - Very friendly staff - Many birds and animals - Certain part of national park has good cellular coverage. (At least as far as I went ) Con: - Unmarked paths, unclear where to continue as paths end in bushes. - Not maintained, no railings or steps. - Dangerous parts of unsecured paths on cliffs, trees fallen over paths and lots of water erosion on trail - English skills almost not existent. - Recommended only with proper hiking gear and experience. - No restaurant, no coffee - Shop on premises has besides water only sugary drinks, power drinks and snacks. - Waterfalls are not spectacular but beautiful - Apart of warning visitors to not bring food/drinks there are not enough trash cans for there purchased products. You must carry away your trash. - Staff not particularly engaging - Thick plastic water pipes crossing trails, not beautiful thing to see Summary: Nice getaway for Tak residents & hiking enthusiasts. Needs lots of work to be a nice place for visitors apart of main camp ground.
  • Love this place with warm welcoming staff. Easy tent area with restroom and food nearby Beautiful water fall. Extremely busy for songkran.
  • Great place to visit for a few hours. How many beautiful waterfalls can you find in the world when they is only you there
  • it is very clean and beautiful waterfall.there are many people in the weekend.
  • Beautiful park. Lots of swimming holes to cool off in along the river that runs through the park. Food stands at the upper end of the park where the waterfalls are located! Trails up to the upper falls. Fee charged at main entrance!
