  • This made the Chiang Mai experience for me. The driver was timely and very personable. Experienced a more natural area outside of Chiang Mai. Elephants were not chained or tied and we started the morn...  more »
  • Whereas before choosing the best Park for visiting the elephants I have documented on those available, in the end I chose this because it seemed the most affordable for half the day, what you could do and tripadvisor reviews. Departure at 7 ' 30 taken by the hotel and after 1 hour and a half we come to the Park. It was just me and my girlfriend, so we had 1 elefantea head. After we changed clothes they provide and have them fed with bamboo rods, they explained how to get them on the back and give him commands to move. After a half hour of riding we arrived to the river and we went swimming with them. Meanwhile our guide was doing photos with our Smartphones (many so we had the memory full at the end of the day). Eventually we returned always riding elephants and gave us lunch. Because the bad taste in my mouth: elephants are running orders, the riding has me a bit made me feel too, I would rather walk with them rather than above. The bathroom was not spontaneous, c was always a guy who gave him orders (such as lying in the water or splashes the water with its trunk). Overall nice experience for charity and elephants are quite free and without chains, though I would have preferred to watch rather than do a show for us. 1800 bath apiece and returned at about 2. Tip: bring a swimsuit and a towel, don't take the photographer for a fee (800 bath), the guide makes your photos with your smartphone if you ask. If you get a chance, choose a park no riding.
