  • It is a place to enjoy the elephants while respecting them. I advice strongly this same activity if the rate remains high for the Thailand, it's still all the same our best part of the trip. You can buy the DVD for 200 bath with all the pictures of the journee.8

  • Actually the day runs as explained on the previous comments: purchases of bananas (1 kg for 80Bath) then long drive to the centre(1h30), small debrif on elephants, mini first ride on elephants, long meals (then NAP for staff lol) and finally walk of 25-30 min on the elephants with a swim in the river. So overall it did on great day, as close contact with the elephant is simply beautiful. After we look closer, and you realize that it's still the tourist trade. Between the purchase of bananas and the DVD memory in 200Bath is to be purely money. It was noted on the site 1 elephant per person but in reality we were 2 by elephant. More our hotel was too far for them so we had to come to the centre of chiang mai by our own means and the DVD photo was actually a mail so they won't have to move. So opinion rather mixed experience truly exceptional, yet paying attention to the tourist trap.
