  • Just stopped there on my way to Mon Cham Mountain... it’s nice to walk through the butterfly house and to admire the colorful orchids. Good foto opportunity. But don’t expect many different or special...  more »
  • 50 bat to get almost 400 to eat (required because included in our tour) butterflies very few 3/4 types the place is little bigger than a tennis tourist trap costs eventually bat 500 each for nothing. Finally, orchids are prettier in garden centers in Italy if you can avoid, at least theft of lunch

  • The fresh morning start at Bai Orkid, an amazing nature breathtaking scenery with row and row of colourful orchids. As I slowly walked into this orchid farm, I felt as though the heavenly paradise came calling upon seeing the beautiful colorful blooming orchids, also, as an educational journey on how orchids are cultivated and how they converted to beautiful accessories. The accessories were pricey but since I have set my mind not to spend on the Thai clothes, handbags and street stuffs , I bought the orchid pendant and hair clip. Thereafter, a quick walk around the butterfly farm before departing.
  • We stopped here for lunch as part of our extensive local tour around Chaing Mai. Lunch was good but the butterfly 'farm' was just a pleasant cage you walked through with plants and butterflies in. Likewise the orchid 'farm' was a couple of rows of orchids growing under shade cloth. Pleasant enough but the title conjures up grander things than actually what is there.
  • Honestly I don't really enjoy this place. It's small and there aren't a lot of variety of orchids to look at. In terms of butterflies, they are just kept in a small pathetic room. What they emphasize is their souvenir shop, restaurant and cafe. Not worth the time.
  • A good place to have a quick break from the Chiang Mai countryside heat and/or for a buffet meal while driving to and from the various scenic spots around Chiang Mai. There was a wide selection of orchids on display - but that was it though - a display. I would have preferred a more natural presentation of the flowers. Same with the butterflies - a number were active in spite of the heat, but they were all in a very confined space. So, when it's hot and humid, the area is almost unbearable. One can tell by the number of tour buses and mini-vans parked outside the facility, that this can quickly become a tourist trap as they also sell lacquered orchid petals or flowers and environmentally-correct harvested butterfly wings. One can still enjoy the offerings as long as one doesn't fall for the trap.
  • Very small but quiet beautiful.we went on a rainy day so we couldnt really enjoy the place that much.very nice souvenirs to buy and quiet clean and peaceful.
