  • I'm a normal guy who does'nt really feel anything about flowers but after going here I have become obsessed with Orchids. I've been back 3 times on separate trips. Every possible colour under the sun....  more »

  • Relaxing short stop to view the amazing orchids and incredible butterflies ... small and compact bit nice. Nice coffee bar worth a try with a good menu and drinks including nice juices.  more »

  • The fresh morning start at Bai Orkid, an amazing nature breathtaking scenery with row and row of colourful orchids. As I slowly walked into this orchid farm, I felt as though the heavenly paradise came calling upon seeing the beautiful colorful blooming orchids, also, as an educational journey on how orchids are cultivated and how they converted to beautiful accessories. The accessories were pricey but since I have set my mind not to spend on the Thai clothes, handbags and street stuffs , I bought the orchid pendant and hair clip. Thereafter, a quick walk around the butterfly farm before departing.
  • A good place to have a quick break from the Chiang Mai countryside heat and/or for a buffet meal while driving to and from the various scenic spots around Chiang Mai. There was a wide selection of orchids on display - but that was it though - a display. I would have preferred a more natural presentation of the flowers. Same with the butterflies - a number were active in spite of the heat, but they were all in a very confined space. So, when it's hot and humid, the area is almost unbearable. One can tell by the number of tour buses and mini-vans parked outside the facility, that this can quickly become a tourist trap as they also sell lacquered orchid petals or flowers and environmentally-correct harvested butterfly wings. One can still enjoy the offerings as long as one doesn't fall for the trap.
  • Another exotic place to visit in the Chiang Mai region. The bai orchid is a quiet environment with a well-groomed garden, ponds and greenhouses, which there are suspended thousands of Orchids, of all colors and different species. Then through a mystical door bring you in a little ecosystem where hundreds of butterflies of many colors and sizes flutter here and there, some are hidden among the leaves.
  • Really disappointing. I would have called it a tourist trap if the entry fee was higher than 40 baht. There was an incredibly high amount of tourist bus compared to the quality of the attraction. The butterfly garden is very small with butterfly that you can easily spot in the nature. The orchids are in a row, there is really no atmosphere here. Two stars are for the food buffet which was ok.
  • The food is incredible. The orchids and the butterflies are so beautiful, and so is the jewelry they make and sell here
