San Kamphaeng Hot Springs, Mae On

Bathe in the warm, therapeutic waters of San Kamphaeng Hot Springs. Some of these geothermal springs are so hot that you can buy a basket of eggs to cook in it. Many believe the springs have healing qualities due to their sulphur and mineral content. Take a relaxing stroll around the grounds and dip your toes in the water, or opt to rent a private room for a good soak (don't worry--the staff will fill up the tubs with a mix of spring water to the temperature of your choice). If the eggs you boil won't tide you over, feel free to pack a lunch. You'll also find accommodations, a swimming pool, and restaurants nearby. San Kamphaeng Hot Springs is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Mae On Edition.

  • Great surprise, nicely done and well maintained for a busy place. Boil all your eggs here if you wish ☺ Hiso side with private baths and nice swimming pool are recommended, as is the foot massage that was a great end of day treat.
  • Clean and well organized natural hot springs. You can dip your feet or boiled the eggs of your choice. Several type of eggs (bird egg and chicken eggs) sole on site. Chicken eggs 3 for 20 THB.
  • Nice place to relax near Chang mai. Great after climbing at crazy horse. Get eggs and boil them at the hot spring ;) Massage are fabulous and cheap. Restaurant is good.
  • I think this is one of Chiang Mai's best kept secrets. A natural mineral hot springs located in a botanical garden about 35 kilometers outside the east ring road. Small huts available by the hour, or for over night have large tubs with the hot mineral water piped right to the room. Community baths also available. Restaurant on site. Don't forget to grab a basket of fresh eggs to boil in the hot springs! Many shaded areas for picnicking.
  • Good place to boil eggs in hot springs water. Aroy maak
