San Kamphaeng Hot Springs, Mae On
(2.7/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Bathe in the warm, therapeutic waters of San Kamphaeng Hot Springs. Some of these geothermal springs are so hot that you can buy a basket of eggs to cook in it. Many believe the springs have healing qualities due to their sulphur and mineral content. Take a relaxing stroll around the grounds and dip your toes in the water, or opt to rent a private room for a good soak (don't worry--the staff will fill up the tubs with a mix of spring water to the temperature of your choice). If the eggs you boil won't tide you over, feel free to pack a lunch. You'll also find accommodations, a swimming pool, and restaurants nearby. Work out when and for how long to visit San Kamphaeng Hot Springs and other Mae On attractions using our handy Mae On itinerary builder.

  • Disappointing. Many Chinese, who keep their feet in a small artificial stream and eat it. Nix to the bath. Occurs 100 Baht. Scooter parking 10 baht. Very well maintained complex with beautiful flowerbeds, flowers and lawns. The hot springs are rather dull and very artificial. It's just a basin with hot water, in which you can Cook eggs that you can buy. In the hot springs is unfortunately no swimming possible (any pool with cooled water or similar). The pool with mineralised water is rather touristy and has to do the hot springs. Many massages all around. Also not a place you must see. Overall, we found it disappointing and would not yet here come here.

  • If you are out that way, go have a look but dont specifically make the trip out there. Its a pleasant area. We only spent about an hour there.
  • They recommended us the place for a few hours and it was a complete loss of time. It is a pipeline of sulfurous waters, a few neglected bathrooms and little more. In the gardens (the neat part) can make a couple of nice photos (by that that isn't a complete loss of time), but you will feel that you have paid an entry for anything
