  • We got a taxi up there, but you can get public transport- from outside the university. Nice views when the cloud cover clears, busy when coach partys arrive, worth a visit.
  • If you go to Mae Hong Son this Wat is on the top of the mountain overlooking Mae Hong Son. Great place to take photos! It also has a market there.

  • Went up the alternate steps and it was breathtaking. Go up slowly and bring water because it's definitely a workout.
  • A serene and peaceful temple with gorgeous white stupas - go in time for the sunset and stay till slightly after, for different views. A slightly tiring but still manageable 25mins walk up.
  • Lovely views of the mountains and a couple of large white stupas. Try to avoid going there from February till April when the air may be smoky due to burning vegetation.
  • Gorgeous view of the city. Very nice cafe up there. Do not attempt to walk to the top unless you are quite fit. Catch a ride with a local and walk the steps down.
  • Nice view of mountains and surroundings
