Fish Cave, Mae Hong Son

(1.8/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
Spend a lazy day out at Fish Cave. Don’t be misled by the name, as there is no actual “cave” here, it’s simply a small underground stream emerging from the rocks Fish Cave. The stream is filled with freshwater fish (mainly carp) and you’ll notice there is a small shrine near the cave because this species is held in special regard by locals. Bags of fish food can be bought nearby if you want to feed the fish, and the nearby scenery is pleasant, with open grounds suitable for a picnic. A visit to Fish Cave represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Mae Hong Son vacation trip planner to plot your vacation.

  • I liked it all, and the road itself, and this is part of the reserve, good location. Fish which you can feed, and they eat everything. I liked, I got there while driving around Mjehangsona. Especially advise there Café coffee shop, when coming from the caves of the fish on the right side when you are passing rice fields, worth coffee house. Near the road. I was in it and in the summer and in January. Of course when this July August and fields stand green, rice, and Cafe is located at the top as though over the fields, this divine appearance, during the dry season when the rice is removed of course picture slightly. But still very nice. And you can see the cave.

  • Managed to pay Thai entry price of 20 Baht instead of 100 Baht by speaking a Thai! Just as well as it wasn't really a cave, just fish under a rocky outcrop.
