Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, Lampang

(200+ reviews on the web)
Religious Site
Unlike many of Thailand's other highly revered temples, Wat Phra That Lampang Luang has been preserved in its original state. It was built in the 15th century on the site of a fortress that had guarded the road to the city. Admire the ornate architecture, murals, and reliefs carved in the wood. According to legend, Buddha once visited this temple and gifted a strand of hair, which is kept in the temple's main pagoda. The complex also includes three small museums boasting a collection of various relics. A couple of stalls on site sell refreshments and souvenirs. • How long have you been hearing but has recently had a chance to pray and worship. Phra that Lampang Luang early last year. One of the things that he says should go to see is the shadow, Thad (caused by a phenomenal pinhole camera).

  • Top Lampang city reach about 15 K, Ko is big temple. Across the road the front of the temple, has ample parking. Built on a hill and is surrounded by walls. It seems to be a fortress. Large vaulted up the stone steps to the temple and Buddhist temple. Inside Golden stupa and contains a Buddha image. Locals were worshipped in the intently. What elementary school field trips. There were so many children. Hall seems to be the oldest wooden building in the northern part. Behind the temple is the pagoda, height 45 m. This n temple's history is more than 500 years. Atrium Hall there large Golden Buddha temples, around to the left next to the pagoda. It is also old temple behind the pagoda is put in, but nix. The chance to see the appearance went several times so far, but according to what I hear in the dark from pinhole scene outside reflected. Temple out of the gate on the left side of Linden Rogi, and Museum and the priest's residence. Museums, several places. Free of charge. Exhibits of old ancestral temple, etc. I'd take some time looking closely because there are a lot. Tourism for flower wagon waiting outside the fence. Users have never seen. Previously rode in Lampang town. It was a leisurely rides. Is a specialty of Lampang. What is love?

  • A large temple complex with lots of different areas to see. The small emerald Buddha is quite special but the highlight is the camera obscura that shows an image of the golden stupa.Easy to go there by scooter or bicycle from Lampang.
