  • This is an official institution listed by the Government by which the aim is the protection of elephants and the preservation of Thai culture. For us, the goals conflict with Western Europeans. Part of the culture in Thailand was at least elephants to domesticate. This means keeping the elephants like horses with us. In the past, violence was used in today is rather "Snacks". However, be it domestic elephants. I think that this is somehow similar to the development of horses with us. The Center offers the opportunity to gain an insight into the deep cultural roots of the Thai people with the elephants here. Shown: - elephants bathe - riding on elephants - feeding elephants - show, where appears like elephants in the clearing and timber harvesting have been used - infirmary - elephant paper from elephant dung as described, mixed feelings, but we have also contradictions in our past

  • I love elephants. These are not happy elephants as I was told. Stay away, it will made you sad.
  • We love this animal " elephant " they are such a strong , smart and cute. To help save them please visit and support them here
  • The elephants are awesome! They are really a big help and very interesting...
  • Not touristy but a great way to see and learn about asian elephants. A little far from Chiang Mai city but great to combine with other things to do on the way back to town.
  • Very impressive centre, which seems to treat the animals really very well. Show with elephant bathing and demonstration of how the animals worked in the woods and only few circus-style elements.
