Sai Nuan Beach, Koh Tao

4.5
#2 of 8 in Beaches in Koh Tao
Small and unassuming, Sai Nuan Beach remains a secluded gem, with golden sand, turquoise water, and lush exotic trees. A picturesque wooden swing sways lightly in the breeze, dangling from the canopy above. Bring your snorkeling gear to explore swimming holes filled with colorful schools of fish. A few little huts stacked on the rocks nearby offer inexpensive drinks and a casual atmosphere. Pack sunscreen and a camera, and prepare to enjoy the views and solitude. • Really nice beach. Perfect to enjoy the sun and the same breeze. Definitely a must if you are spending time in koh tao  more »
  • Path which goes up and down strong enough, 15-20 Minutes from the sensi paradise, through the charm churee resort. You get to a first Beach, pretty but paid (200bath per person) – belongs to the hotel. Continue 5 Minutes and you go to sai nuan beach, free and wild... a lot of fish, groupers of the Batfish, fish Coachmen etc... some corals survivor in this cemetery a little sad... If you get tired (300 baht for 2 to return to port to negotiate) are going home by taxi boat

  • only a little walk from the resort. At the moment not necessary to pay. Quiet place in the morning. There are a lot of crabs, good views. Ideal to relax without paying.  more »

  • Small beach reachable after 20 min walk from Mae Haad Pier through some resorts (so only walk). The sea bed doesn't offer much for snorkeling, the coral here is almost all dead but you can see a lot of little fishes. The morning we arrived we found the beach and the water in front all littered with plastic bags and bottles, I started collecting the plastic and then other followed, in 20 min the beach and the water were clean again. With a little effort we can do it!!!
  • Less crowded. Nice get away
  • Sai Nuan is composed of two beaches. The first one is small but very nice with a pond, grass a bit everywhere and a lot of flowers. The second one is very small but nice too. Snorkeling here is not interesting at at all. There is a very good restaurant on sai nuan beach 1 named "... Cookies", I strongly recommend this restaurant as it is excellent and probably the cheapest on the whole island.
  • Not a wild beach as anyone suggest but still enjoyable
  • Not crowded
