Sai Nuan Beach, Koh Tao

4.6
#2 of 8 in Beaches in Koh Tao
Beach Nature / Park
Small and unassuming, Sai Nuan Beach remains a secluded gem, with golden sand, turquoise water, and lush exotic trees. A picturesque wooden swing sways lightly in the breeze, dangling from the canopy above. Bring your snorkeling gear to explore swimming holes filled with colorful schools of fish. A few little huts stacked on the rocks nearby offer inexpensive drinks and a casual atmosphere. Pack sunscreen and a camera, and prepare to enjoy the views and solitude. Make Sai Nuan Beach a centerpiece of your Koh Tao vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Koh Tao family vacation planner.

Where to stay in Koh Tao

The west coast offers the greatest number of accommodations on Ko Tao, with upscale resorts and affordable guesthouses sitting side by side with eco-friendly lodges and beach chalets. Down south, you'll find luxury resorts with private beaches and extensive views of the coast, while farther inland simple guesthouses and rental apartments provide the least expensive lodgings on the island.

  • I found it as comparatively less busy than other beaches on the Island. Good for a lonely walk or just sitting idly on the beach after nightfall!  more »
  • Must see. The fish and the water conditions are unparalleled. Some people arrived and did not snorkel. I wanted to tell them a magical view was just 20 feet away. Thankful to have seen this. Took boat...  more »
  • A hidden gem, well worth a taxi ride up and down the steep hills. Or go by boat. Crystal clear water, loads of fish - a shark, too! Sadly saw some russian guys pestering a squid with a stick - why can...  more »

  • Sai Nuan is composed of two beaches. The first one is small but very nice with a pond, grass a bit everywhere and a lot of flowers. The second one is very small but nice too. Snorkeling here is not interesting at at all. There is a very good restaurant on sai nuan beach 1 named "... Cookies", I strongly recommend this restaurant as it is excellent and probably the cheapest on the whole island.
  • Not a wild beach as anyone suggest but still enjoyable
  • Not crowded
  • Very cute! Worth the drive up the scooter and go for a long walk through the mountain. There are some cool places to snorkowania.
