Ao Thian Ok, Koh Tao
(3.7/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Lounge on a sandy beach at Ao Thian Ok. Its name translates to Shark Bay, and if you swim further off shore, you might catch a glimpse of reef sharks, different types of fish, or even giant turtles. Snorkeling is available, even for beginners, and you can stop by one of the restaurants where you can have a meal while enjoying the view of palm trees and clear blue water. It is one of the less-crowded beaches on the island, so it’s ideal for sunbathing or relaxing in the shade of one of many coconut palm trees. Plan your Ao Thian Ok visit and explore what else you can see and do in Koh Tao using our Koh Tao trip itinerary builder.

  • It is one of the few long beaches of Koh Tao, many on the island are bays! Very nice, gives you just the sense of tranquility. The sea than the Tadake and Aow Leuk bay is more turbid and for this reason the snorkeling is clearly worst but definitely worth a visit! Underrated ...
