Lounge on a sandy beach at Ao Thian Ok. Its name translates to Shark Bay, and if you swim further off shore, you might catch a glimpse of reef sharks, different types of fish, or even giant turtles. Snorkeling is available, even for beginners, and you can stop by one of the restaurants where you can have a meal while enjoying the view of palm trees and clear blue water. It is one of the less-crowded beaches on the island, so it’s ideal for sunbathing or relaxing in the shade of one of many coconut palm trees.
