Secret Buddha Garden, Ko Samui

(460+ reviews on the web)
Garden Monument
Set atop one of the island's highest peaks, Secret Buddha Garden reveals a private sculpture collection in the middle of the jungle. Started in 1976 by a 77-year-old retired fruit farmer, the garden displays statues of animals, deities, and humans. Look carefully to find figures of Buddha, musicians, and the artist and his father holding hands. When you see a group of angel sculptures, you'll know the founder's tomb is nearby. Wear comfortable shoes when you go, as the attraction requires climbing many steep paths and steps. • Yeah, it's in a decent spot in the mountains with a babbling brook. There's nice nature to be found in many places in koh samui; there's no reason to waste 80 baht per person on this heaping pile of c...  more »
  • We visit as part of our private day tour of the island. Not so secret. Lots of visitors. Pretty little spot with lots of water, greenery & buddhas.  more »
  • Less of a garden and more of a little sculpture park set with a stream running through it on a hill. If you are taking in a few places then the drive up gives some spectacular views and the 'garden' i...  more »

  • A unique Buddha Garden perched on the top of a mountain. We were concerned about getting there based on reviews to 4x4. The road was just fine, it was paved the whole way up and we had no problem on our scooter. We took the main Military Road, same as going to Paradise Fun Park, there are 2 ways to drive up. Waterfall was beautiful creating a stream that ran through this Buddha Garden. Very tranquil, a lot of tourists. Entry fee is 80 baht.
  • A unique Buddha garden located in the wild at least that how they describe it to you but it was not that interesting but since you visited the waterfalls it will take you only 5 min away to see this place and for only an 80 baht
  • Pros: Amazing sculptures placed in a wild looking forest. Handmade waterfall gives a touch of fresh. Ticket price is rather low, 80 baht. Nearby restaurant 'Peak Eye View' offers motorbike gasoline. Cons: Really bad mountain road, all in deep pits. Place is crowded. It would be much more better and relaxing if there were less people.
  • Tourist trap. Nothing special. Quite confident this place was artificially created as a money grab. Even though it's only 80 baht, save your money and go somewhere else.
  • I was in that garden 3 of March 2017 and I thought that it will be something bigger than few statues and empty houses, I thought that it will be a garden with at least 1 flower.... It is very beautiful outside the garden and you don't have to pay anything there, But inside it.... Small river and statues... this isn't worth of it's money 80 THB per person. I wouldn't advise anyone to go inside...
