  • We went there three weeks ago. They rejoiced to drink good rum and discover a held by enthusiasts and more French rum distillery. Arriving, we had just feel upset although there was nobody. Me being vegan, I very quickly understood that bother staff make me something... I ended up eating rice with two-three poor vegetables while the thai cuisine is very varied vegetables normally. My friend couldn't finish his plate, according to him, the dish was not fresh... prices are when same high for Thailand so we would expect any quality. When we went to visit the distillery, the boss who was sitting at the bar for over an hour didn't us even accompany while really, there is no air care. It has to go alone and what a disappointment to see just three panels and nothing more. As it was not the season, he told us that it wasn't worth the trouble. But we had still been made a very long road to come to this Distillery, we wanted to find out more. When I wanted to ask a few questions about the harvest and distilling, the answers were short and it felt quite passionate people. And when he says that he works a lot and did not have a day of holiday ca leaves us puzzled especially seeing all the thais who worked there while he was at the bar, quietly. We still spend a nice sum to three between cocktails, dinner, dessert and rum so we would expect a little more comfortable... really too bad because you come out almost angry at all... I do not recommend as we lose half a day for ca... really not of interest especially if you love rum... But even so their rum is good, but the same, too bad there's that one sale because we could understand on the site that there are various aromas...

  • What a beautiful discovery that this rum distillery and his two partners who offer a warm welcome. Certainly, this isn't the size of the rhumeries of Martinique but white rum produced here doesn't have to blush, far from it. House syrups are just amazing. As for the table, we tested dishes as French and local, and really what a beautiful discovery. A great stop!

  • When I learned that there's a rum distillery on Samui I decided to visit me. The location was easy to find for me the scooter and there was enough parking. Unfortunately I made the visit in November and the plant running only during the months in which sugar cane can be harvested and thus I could visit the system only at a standstill. Because the production still in modest amounts is made the operator had only the clear standard rum available, that were unfortunately already all sold with taste. The tasting will cost 60 bath and you get a generous shot and a glass with syrup (lemon, sugar and Spice mixture) the one if you want this with the rum mix can. The taste of the rum is good. I took me a bottle as a souvenir. It is worth a visit in any case should you even do not know what to do. There is also a French restaurant

  • The place itself wasn't that magical. I asked the hostes if we could try the rum and she told me we could order shots which I find kind a weird. We just wanted to try the rum before buying it. Also we were expecting a range of flavors but sadly they only had the original. Anyways I bought 3 botles since I kinda enjoyed the taste.
  • We rented scooters and rode down from Chaweng in July to check out the distillery. We tasted the orange and the plain rum which you buy by the shot measure. The host explained how to taste it first, straight, and then with a spiced syrup added in. They have a pleasant outdoor sitting area and nice grounds. I believe they have food on the menu, but we didn't order any. You can also do a "distillery tour" which is a shed with windows where the equipment is (non-operational when we were visiting), and they have signs on the walls explaining step by step how the rum is made. It was only mildly interesting, but it's free, so that was good. Overall, it was a fun, exciting ride down (we're not well-practised riders), and I enjoyed tasting the rum. If you don't have time for the distillery tour (~5 mins if you stretch it out), you're not missing that much.
  • Great to see the distillery. Friendly staff. Don't expect anything compared to a scotch distillery.
  • Lame! The distillery was shut, and they were sold out of all but two types of rum. We spent just a few minutes there.
  • Great place, run by extremely friendly and welcoming people. The restaurant is excellent and plentiful, we feel mastery, very good Thai food. If you're not going to eat, go for the rum and the welcome reserved for tourists. Hope to come back to you dear compatriots!
