  • Attention points up wrong way, allow much much water, and good shoes! And what MOP sweat ^ ^ with heat I really struggled especially at the beginning, yet somewhat accustomed to the hiking (we wanted to make a loop so we took directly on the right after the dam a sort of way marked in blue)... it is very badly signposted If you want to make a loop (we got lost a couple times in the middle and we have some do turn around to try to find something that looks like some kind of way, and a few blue landmarks lying around on the rocks...). However at the top after 2-hour steep climb, you have a great view, especially in the North of the island... The descent we took the path or it says everything about the 500 m and where c is a true :) much simpler easier way! Less than an hour for the descent.

  • The tour to the highest mountain of the island begins with a surprise, where it is on the island to a commonplace. The way up to the Summit is not or poorly signposted. One wonders in between more frequent times if it is still on the path, or already in the jungle ;) We recommend sturdy shoes and long trousers if necessary. Besides, it can do no harm to download maps.me, without which we not so easily had found back to the path of the app. We needed 1 1/2 hours for ascent and descent. Despite the weather with us only a visibility of 10 meters of the trip was worth it.

  • Went with friends, for those who are not accustomed to sport this hike will test. We walked in about 2 hours uphill on a constant rise and the same back. Not worth going if Eve was raining-in the jungle very slippery. Take cream against mosquitoes, better long pants (many mosquitoes in the jungle and prickles), be sure to take at least 1 Litho water per person. Otherwise you will drink from the Brook. Be sure to go in sneakers. Go to slaps-suicide. With children is also better not to go. If they start kanjuchit and do not want to go-go with children at the hands of a very dangerous and difficult. The entire journey takes 5 hours round-trip. To ensure that you have done one fotochki on top. If my review was useful for you-put your finger up;). So it will be seen by more people. Excellent travel)!

  • After a nearly 2h hike you can enjoy amazing views over Chaloklum and Than Sadet. Best to go early morning, before it gets too hot. Prepare enough drinking water! On the way down, you can enjoy a nice fresh dip in the pool of the waterfall.
  • Nice jungle trek. However the starting point is quite hard to find, you need to look for the "Khao Ra point of view." It's located near an hotel. It takes approximately 2h to.go.up and maybe 1.5h to go down. The view is amazing. The trek is not that hard, you never have to use your hands.
  • - Great Location & View - Amazing People on the way...all locals!! - Nice Environment However.....[see pics attached or Check my profile for more details about this place -videos&more-]
  • Was just exploring the region, when I saw the board "Khao Ra viewpoint 2km" thought why not. Nice workout.... Finally, I think after 1 1/2 hours and about 600m higher I arrived quite exhausted at the beautiful viewpoint. Luckily nice Canadian people offered me some drinking-water (started without) The view and also the walk through partly untouched jungle is worth the walk; but be aware, it's much longer than 2km (my guess 4 to 5km)....
  • Super view point!✌️🇹🇭👍🏻

Where to stay in Ko Pha Ngan

Stick to the southern coast for the greatest range of accommodations on Ko Phangan. Reasonably priced beach resorts and backpacker hotels offering basic rooms line the shore and the area surrounding the main ferry dock. The southeastern peninsula also hosts decent options, and generally offers a bit more luxury than the establishments located near the docks. Explore the remoter areas to enjoy resort-style accommodations, offering seclusion and privacy at relatively steep prices.
