Ko Mook, Thailand

(15+ reviews on the web)
Island
Ko Mook is known for its pristine beaches and Morakot (Emerald) Cave, a large natural hall featuring the sky as its ceiling. Swim or dive along the shoreline and explore the rich marine life, but be careful not to get tangled up in seaweed. Rent a boat and sail along towering cliffs all the way to the Emerald Cave. Keep in mind that in order to enter the cavern, you will need to swim through a dark tunnel. If you prefer less strenuous activities, visit the fishing village and see how the natives live and work. • Concerning Trang Islands, I visited Koh Mook (3 nights) and Koh Kradan (2 nights). I enjoyed staying on Mook more than staying on Kradan for several reasons. First, there is life and activity on Mook ...  more »
  • No need to go to that island more than 2 days. The beach on the side of the port if you can name it so not worth the trip and the one side of the island (charlie beach) isn't amazing either. Peace is the but the tourists flooded are beginning to be felt. Ko Mook is very badly managed, all waste are open and not give want to walk on the island. On the other hand the people are super friendly and very helpful. If you want to see Emerald Cave better go from Koh Ngai or Charlie beach.

  • We visited this island as part of the tour by the four islands. Here let us dive 40minutes and the truth is that we saw many fish, while there were several boats with tourists by the zonal.
