Mu Koh Lanta National Park, Ko Lanta
(3.8/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
At the southern tip of Ko Lanta Yai, Mu Koh Lanta National Park boasts a gorgeous beach and mountainous terrain popular with hikers, sunbathers, and divers. You'll enter at the top of a steep hill, which you can descend by car or along the nature trail instead. At the bottom, you'll see a conspicuous old lighthouse on a hill jutting into the sea. Hike up to the lighthouse or simply relax on the white-sand beach, where the clear, calm water is perfect for swimming. Be careful not to leave your bags unattended on the sand, however, because the unscrupulous resident monkeys will eagerly search them for food. Using our online itinerary creator, Ko Lanta attractions like Mu Koh Lanta National Park can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • A good beach for swimming and fine views of the cliffs. The current through the loop of the jungle is not a special occasion but it's a good idea to also get around if you're not a bad footed. For a small fee.

  • National Park is a "must see" of Ko Lanta. Nice views and very clean place. You can relax on the beach or climb the hill to the lighthouse, where you have a beautiful view. Careful with the monkeys, f...  more »
  • After some friends had a recommendation for this park, we made us finally with our scooters on the road in the South of the island (ultimately the drive there was the most beautiful of the whole trip, as you get out of here in the green without houses, noise & people - have seen here even a group of monkeys on the road. So until I can recommend no more than a drive). After we had to pay 200 baht per person and even 20 with our roller a small piece to continue to Park him above leave before the grounds (is not) we were first on the way to the lookout point, which was quite nice. The trail then was nothing special however. Who shows no interest for plants or similar, only runs the path, which is not exactly in the best condition, and comes out at the end again at the beginning of the Park. The beach in the Park the best liked and we saw wild monkeys (watch ;) on the beach that take likes what). Ultimately, we found slightly inflated without much to get or to see the price of admission. Dear the day on public beaches

  • We visited Koh Rok with Patessia boat tours. It's a really lovely beach to relax and watch the tiny crabs. If you watch long enough you can see the whole beach is actually moving. It can get busy though when multiple boats arrive!
  • Arguably most beautiful beach in the world. Lots of monkeys, some lizzards and small wildlife on the beach. One less star out of 5 because of staff, who are rude and going out of their way to NOT help. Hiking trail not for the untrained.
  • Beautiful beach, great scenery and nice trek which took about 45min (says 2 hrs on the sign)
  • I really got the feeling of a protected environment. I will pay another visit for sure and may be i will Camp in a tent for a couple of days
  • It cost money to step on the land. My recommendation is to enjoy your time in the water and maybe on the boat that brought you here. It is a beautiful place so if you want to spend a couple bucks to walk around and see the rocks on the backside of the beach it'll be worth it but make sure you're not getting ripped off.
