Mu Koh Lanta National Park, Ko Lanta

(3.8/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
At the southern tip of Ko Lanta Yai, Mu Koh Lanta National Park boasts a gorgeous beach and mountainous terrain popular with hikers, sunbathers, and divers. You'll enter at the top of a steep hill, which you can descend by car or along the nature trail instead. At the bottom, you'll see a conspicuous old lighthouse on a hill jutting into the sea. Hike up to the lighthouse or simply relax on the white-sand beach, where the clear, calm water is perfect for swimming. Be careful not to leave your bags unattended on the sand, however, because the unscrupulous resident monkeys will eagerly search them for food. Using our online itinerary creator, Ko Lanta attractions like Mu Koh Lanta National Park can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Really cool national park, monkeys running around stealing your food (!!) :-) there's a white sand beach with crystal clear water and a light house to climb up to. All in all the national park is a go...  more »
  • At the end of the island. Better to rent a motorbike to get there. Approx 250 baht the day. We find gasoline across to Koh Lanta. Not much to see, and even if we do the ballad laid out and not really complicated (maybe a little more if we do the loop from the beach because it goes up a bit.) Prefer for the less energetic departure left just after the entrance gate. But it will come back and get his vehicle and mounted......). Short in 2 hours max and being wide we saw everything. Conclusion, can be avoided even if on the road, there are nice beaches to discover.

  • Beautiful view Crystal Waters-shade from a shady Palm Driving into the Park in the park without having to walk far. Don't have time to waste up to the point of view of the car park. There are bird walks road. Visit the wood perfectly comfortable road connected to a circle, as well. No return the same way.

  • We visited Koh Rok with Patessia boat tours. It's a really lovely beach to relax and watch the tiny crabs. If you watch long enough you can see the whole beach is actually moving. It can get busy though when multiple boats arrive!
  • Arguably most beautiful beach in the world. Lots of monkeys, some lizzards and small wildlife on the beach. One less star out of 5 because of staff, who are rude and going out of their way to NOT help. Hiking trail not for the untrained.
  • Beautiful beach, great scenery and nice trek which took about 45min (says 2 hrs on the sign)
  • I really got the feeling of a protected environment. I will pay another visit for sure and may be i will Camp in a tent for a couple of days
  • It cost money to step on the land. My recommendation is to enjoy your time in the water and maybe on the boat that brought you here. It is a beautiful place so if you want to spend a couple bucks to walk around and see the rocks on the backside of the beach it'll be worth it but make sure you're not getting ripped off.
