Mu Koh Lanta National Park, Ko Lanta

#2 of 6 in Nature in Ko Lanta
At the southern tip of Ko Lanta Yai, Mu Koh Lanta National Park boasts a gorgeous beach and mountainous terrain popular with hikers, sunbathers, and divers. You'll enter at the top of a steep hill, which you can descend by car or along the nature trail instead. At the bottom, you'll see a conspicuous old lighthouse on a hill jutting into the sea. Hike up to the lighthouse or simply relax on the white-sand beach, where the clear, calm water is perfect for swimming. Be careful not to leave your bags unattended on the sand, however, because the unscrupulous resident monkeys will eagerly search them for food. At the southern end of Lanta, is a park that requires fees, for the Chinese, that's normal, relative to those hundreds of thousands of parks in China, I think 40 is not expensive, inside the park there are many monkeys, kinds, and monitor lizards, sea-even Portuguese man-of-war (Physalia Physalis) for warm-water species of jellyfish is a tube, floating on the surface of the light blue transparent cystic, gelatinous body, front end and back end obtuse rounded, hunched back at the top peak, shaped like Monk Monk hat, hence the name Portuguese man-of-war jellyfish. Because of the saccate part resembles a 16th century Portuguese warship, also called Portuguese warship jellyfish. What a crazy!!! In particular, I wanted to see for myself, a poisonous jellyfish, but didn't see it. ... Lighthouse beauty is beauty. Very original. Beaches in the park but has been occupied by human waste. A shame. Humans too dirty.

A very lovely part of the world. There is an entry fee of 200 baht, which is well worth it. There are beautiful views of the sea and lighthouse. You are able to swim on the beaches here. There are many monkeys in the area and it is very advisable to adhere to the rules and not feed them!

Lovely quiet place. National park with a walking trail and two beaches. Last entry by 6 pm and need to leave out by 7 pm. The walk to light house is highly recommended.

For a cheap entry you can enjoy the small but unbelievable beautiful beach. No ships around, just small jumping fishs from time to time. The food was not as awesome as the surrounding.

The most exquisite beach with turquoise water. Swings hanging from the palm trees on the beach. A beautiful 2km nature trail through the jungle. Beautifully manicured lawns / gardens. Lots of monkeys jumping from the trees into the water and swimming. A joy to watch, but they are very aggressive. Hang on to your bags, clothes, water bottles!

Good view from Light house, nice Beach. Beware of monkeys, but do not be scared. They are trying their luck. Bastards. Nature trail is just bad joke, concrete in rainforest. Rather go to tiger cave And waterfall. IT is more authentic experience. Not worth 200 baths. Believe me.
