Ko Jum, Ko Lanta

(120+ reviews on the web)
Island
Relax along the easygoing islands of Ko Jum. Towns here are unobtrusive and a far cry from the party destinations in Thailand. Enjoy the sights, and relax at the beaches with a book in hand. You won’t find many bars or restaurants, but you can eat or drink at the guesthouses around the island. Getting around is usually done via a rented motorbike or taxi with a sidecar, where you'll pass small villages each with their own unique personalities. Or, try a daytime trek to the top of Mount Pu to witness the best views of the island. • How long until this place is turned into the next Lanta, the next Phuket? I give it 10 or 15 years. The road isn't great in the North of the island, but there were already diggers there making progres...  more »
  • On the island of Koh Jum, we very enjoyed. Although said to be from year to year increasing numbers of tourists, even as we were at the beach basically alone. A lot of tourists we nepotkávali even while walking to a nearby village. We came there like in Paradise-empty beaches, beautiful nature, a village full of great restaurants, shops and nice people. The beaches are full of beautiful shells and crabs who are fast and people are fleeing. Certainly here do not expect any party and nightlife as on the other islands, where there are masses of tourists (Phuket or Phi Phi). Koh Jum is vice versa for those who want to relax similar tourist sites and want to experience the authentic atmosphere of Thailand.
