#4 of 7 in Beaches in Ko Lanta
As the island's most developed beach, Khlong Dao Beach is most tourists' first stop after reaching Ko Lanta. This stretch of white sand boasts clear water and plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas for rent. When you get hungry or thirsty, head to one of the refreshment stands along the sand. Some bars offer bungalows where you can stretch out in the shade with a drink in your hand. Although very busy, the beach's length keeps the scene uncrowded and relaxed. Here is her one long Cove with shallow water. I think just fine for children. It is clearly laid out. great bars and restaurants, as well as yoga on beach.

I visited several beaches on Koh Lanta, but on this I had booked a place to stay, so it I know best. Turned out to be high, as a wide beach with a mediocre view. But it has two extreme face. Its southern part (measured from the middle) is buried. Farther south, the worse. The surrounding area does not encourage, rot bottles, plastic bags, straws and plastic particles. At some point it is so buried garbage, that you can not go now. For its northern part is fantastic. Quite clean, wide and with a pleasant view. To do so in a pretty good location nice bungalows. I recommend especially the sunsets as seen from the northern part. Promontory causes the illusion of the Bay water is prettier and more beautiful view. The sand is fine as on the Baltic Sea. Living in it full of crabs, but at the sight of people to hide. My visit was the rainy season and therefore may be less and well groomed. Apparently in a season is cleaner. I think that due to the proximity of the village-centalna part may be the most convenient.
