Klong Plu Waterfall, Ko Chang

(4.2/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
At Klong Plu Waterfall a foaming torrent of water slices through the cliff face. A 15-minute walk across rough terrain leads you to the deep-cut cascade, but steps hewn into the rock with rope banisters make it easily manageable. Cool off in the pool beneath the waterfall. A nature trail offers for a pleasing diversion through the surrounding forest on the way back (hike takes 30-40 minutes). This route also features some steep sections with rock steps. • Klong Plu waterfall is on the Western side of the island, near Klong Prao Resort. Ideal availability is on a motorbike, when just follow the signs on the main road along the coast. From the main road, it is approximately 2 km of forest along an asphalt road. Before entering the National Park's parking lot, where you pay 20 TB for the bike. The entrance is 200 TB per adult. There is also a souvenir shop, and cosmetics. The path from the parking lot takes 15 minutes after the forest trail. Unfortunately, for people with limited movement makes this difficult. The path leads to a slight Hill to the waterfall and is signposted. To the waterfall it is about 800 m the path. Along the way there are 2 larger pool with lots of fish. The waterfall is the largest on the island and about 20 m high and is located beneath the waterfall pond, where you can swim. The water is nice and refreshing. I recommend not to forget to pack your bathing suit. If you don't want to share the pool with many tourists, it is necessary to come up right away in the morning. Later during the day, there is a lot of tourists. On hot days is definitely worth a visit this waterfall with a refreshing bath.

  • Our hotel had free shuttle bus to the waterfall, so we tried the trip. It is a really nice waterfalls, which had plenty of water, since we visited it last March. From the car park there is a walk of approximately 25 minutes in the children's pace. It went totally fine with two small at 3 and 4 years. It is to swim in the large pool at the waterfall, so remember swimwear.

  • It's a very charming place, with cold water coming out from a waterfall. The place if pretty cool to swim and at noon is not so crowded.  more »

  • Very nice tranquil waterfall. Can get busy at certain times of day and I would recommend some good shoes as there is a 2km trek over slippy rocks. Well worth a visit though
  • The Khlong Phlu Waterfall in the raining season... very impressive and full of roaring water. But no chance to swim or even get to the other side.
  • Refreshing temperature of water, very impressing. Nice to swim. About 20 min (500m) to walk on a kind of 'trail', up and down. Partially very slippy.
  • on the east side are much nicer, this obe is crowded and just good :-)
  • There was the shot trail about 500 meter through the rough forest trail. After the short trail there was a reward, the waterfall is so beautiful. you can see the fish and the water is so clear.
