(360+ reviews on the web)
Landmark
Visit one of Thailand's most striking temples at Wat Pha Sorn Kaew, a colorful structure built on a mountain peak. The temple features upwards of 5 million mosaic tiles and pottery items on the main pagoda and surrounding buildings. Next to the pagoda, a platform holds five images of Buddha surrounded by lotus flowers; look for the stained-glass pagoda in the gardens, too. Tourists do not regularly visit this attraction because there is no direct public transportation to it, but you can arrange for a private car to take you there. Remember to wear long pants and sleeves. Using our international travel planner, Khaem Son attractions like Wat Pha Sorn Kaew can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Wow, this temple complex is absolute one of the finest looking temples of all of Thailand! If you are nearby, this is a "must see"! There is also food stalls around the complex, so you wont stay hungry. Enjoy this hidden gem! Greeting from Norway :)
  • Good views, startling architecture. Unfortunately at my visit 1/3 of the site was closed. Also local vendors inflating prices beyond what I would call "Farang acceptable". If your in the area pay a call if not leave it to another day.
  • Stunning temple. It's almost like a fairytale. The mosaic is so beautiful. We were very lucky cuz the new temple building with the 5 Buddha statue had just opened. So there were these big globes all around the temple where you can pray and stick some goldleaves on. I reckon this is one of the must see attractions in Petchabun. Also the whole area around the temple is so need as well. I am so glad we made a long stop here.
  • A MUST TO VISIT! Truly fascinating and great artwork. Temple is beautifully decorated with different type of beads, terracotta, bowls, plates, marble or anything that you could have thought of. It was a very hot afternoon, got my sun burn ;)
  • Very beautiful. If you come to Petchabura province and dont come to this place, regret it. This temple is just a masterpiece! Stunning!
