  • Fascinating cave and temple complex to explore with lots of Buddhas in cool temperatures. It's an easy bike ride from Kanchanaburi with a WW2 graveyard en-route and only 1 hill at the end.  more »

  • After visiting the cave walk along to the end of the track. There are excellent views over the river.
  • This temple and cave is less than half an hour on a bicycle from Kanchanaburi town, and you can rent them in town for 50 baht a day, or you could get a scooter, motorbike or taxi if you prefer. It would take about an hour to walk. The entry is 30 baht, plus any donations. It's very professional, with a leaflet telling you about each room of the cave. The cave itself is amazing. There are Buddhist statues and shrines throughout, a room with a hole in the roof and the roots of a willow tree hanging down inches from your face, a huge golden Buddha and bats everywhere. The monks are very friendly and can answer any questions you have, and you can take pictures throughout the whole cave and surrounding area. At the exit of the cave there is a bamboo hut with photos from the construction of the Death Railway, along with facts and information about each photo, all of which was very informative. Nearby, the other direction from the road, up a small incline is a large golden Buddha overlooking the railway line, worth walking an extra two minutes for the view.
  • My favorite cave in the area. Sometimes you have to hold your breath to get through the next small chamber but thats also a bit exciting. Not adviced for people who dont like small spaces.
  • Walking through in the cave is Good experience even smell a little of bat
  • Very cool temple
