River Kwai, Kanchanaburi
(3.9/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy a feature of the landscape as famous for its history as for its natural form at River Kwai. Known for its bridge and the book and movie detailing its construction by Allied POWs under the command of the Japanese military, the river itself deserves to be explored. Take a boat tour to learn its history, and admire its breadth and significance in the natural and social histories of the region. Educational and commercial developments center around the bridge, so consider taking a trip along the water to a quieter section to enjoy the plant and animal life of the riverbanks. • It was interesting to be here for one night. After hot and clever Pattaya here-quiet and peace.

  • Recommended is after or before that to watch the movie. There are all kinds of restaurants nearby. We were not impressed by the culinary performance of the floating restaurant upstream from the bridge. The onion soup was below par.

  • The famous bridge over the River Kwai, has its own the bridge, is a steel frame to black. Up to a distance that is not very long, but it's beautiful. If it goes on long weekends, tourists are dense. Find the shots a little difficult.
