Categories: Bodies of Water, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web
Enjoy a feature of the landscape as famous for its history as for its natural form at River Kwai. Known for its bridge and the book and movie detailing its construction by Allied POWs under the command of the Japanese military, the river itself deserves to be explored. Take a boat tour to learn its history, and admire its breadth and significance in the natural and social histories of the region. Educational and commercial developments center around the bridge, so consider taking a trip along the water to a quieter section to enjoy the plant and animal life of the riverbanks.
