#6 of 15 in Parks in Kanchanaburi
With the canopy at a height of 20 m (65 ft) and a trunk large enough to be encircled by ten people, Giant Rain Tree awes visitors with nature’s understated grandness and beauty. This tree, which is over 100 years old, is not hard to reach and sits just outside the city, but it can be difficult to find, so seek out help from the locals. • Tree a century and just huge. I will say that it is an obligation to go there but we were not disappointed with the way seeing that huge tree of rain. This is a well maintained "local attraction" and who merit to continue.

  • This is a very beautiful, plus it feels cold, especially in the South, this Zen and the horse riding and take pictures, laugh like a diamond on this horse at this time, and a lot of fun because they were good soldiers, plus generous help to take photos.

  • The tree is unbelievably huge. The view along the way here is very scenic. There is a market near the tree. Fruits and local goods sold here has very low price. Some friendly merchants would also give away some extras.
  • Really beautiful spot. There are usually a lot of tourists here but if you get an opening you can take a solo shot at the base of the tree. There is a small write up about the tree right in front of it. Along the edge of the area there are small vendors selling food and trinkets. Also a good spot to incorporate for a restroom stop. The area is free of charge to visit but can get very crowded at peak hours.
  • Really special place. We have come here with the kids so they where climbing in the tree and we were sitting under and chatting and really spend nice relaxing time here. The tree itself is really old, they are just saying hundreds of years.
  • This giant tree is centuries old and really impressive! Relax in its giant shade - a great experience not far from Kanchanaburi town.
  • Great to see locals selling and generating some income from and also great to see such a large tree as a result of amazing wonder nature but that is it.
