Inspirock Rating:
3.7/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web
Climb Chopsticks Hill to the Buddhist temple of Wat Khao Takiap and enjoy fantastic views of the Gulf of Thailand and Hua Hin Beach. On your way up the fairly easy climb you'll find yourself accompanied by handfuls of monkeys (hence the attraction's nickname, the Monkey Temple). Feeding the creatures is okay, but beware of aggressiveness when the food runs out. Also stash away shiny items like sunglasses or anything in wrapping paper, or the monkeys may try to take it. Remember to dress appropriately and cover your knees and shoulders before visiting the temple. See Wat Khao Takiap and all Hua Hin has to offer by arranging your trip with our Hua Hin trip generator.

  • The temple is situated on a hillside with chopsticks, so I felt good. View all of Hua Hin Beach. There are a lot of monkeys on his here may seem chaotic?

  • Together with my wife my little son and some friends went to the thai Temple. To reach it you have to go on the road Pethkasem towards the South you will find the signs you will pass in front of the Hyatt hotel and the cigada market continue and you will see a small headland where is situated the temple. There is a decent parking and upon arrival in infinite monkeys really a lot. To go to the Temple will have to climb several steps but when you get to the top you will have a great view of the sea and marvel at HUA HIN from above the temple is small of course Thais pray with their rites and bid. When you will find yourself where there is parking several shops selling souvenirs and monkeys. Coming back you will see many stalls that sell fresh fish a little pricy but worth a trip.

  • Must see to understand Thai culture. Amazing view of Hua Hin. Monkeys anywhere. Good physical activity. Nice sunset views
  • Great view from here. The temple is ok too. If you have easy transport here it's worth a look. It's worth noting the "Do not feed the monkeys" signs - a toddler was mobbed by around 25 monkeys when her parents threw food nearby. She was very scared
  • What a view!! Once you make it up to the wat you can see hua hin beach for almost as far as it stretches. Well worth the 20 minute motorbike ride from town. You'd be a fool to miss this one!
  • "The Best Kept Secret" to have the grand view of Hua-Hin Beach, the cool winds from the Sea high up in the mountain provide cooling place. There is a drive-way to get to the top. Spectacular view of the Ocean.
  • A steep hill with a very small temple at the very top. Many monkeys which may seem cute but can be pretty aggressive when they notice you have food on you.
  • Great view from the wat
