It is one thing to say about the beach in Hua Hin; It is quite straightforward. Water quality has reportedly been greatly improved in recent years, because of a new treatment plant. But don't expect the same as further South, with clear blue waters and fine sand. Here are the beaches pretty wide, and sanda a bit hard and tightly packed. Therefore, it is nice to go on walks, or run. The water may seem a bit murky. There are lots of small crabs on the beach, that makes pattern in zigzag, and burrow into the sand. When the water level is at its highest, is a good part of the beach added under water, therefore, a part of the hotels at one end, the shuttle to the beach Khao Takiab. There is little trash along the beach.

Great to have a walk or jog in the morning, sand are soft and clean. There's horse and boat activities in "business hours", if you prefer a quiet beach like me, recommend to visit in the morning.

Hua Hin beach is one of the longest beaches in Thailand. This beach is never crowded. The best time to go to the beach is early morning, cause it would be very hot in the afternoon.

Thre beach around the Hilton is rather messy and quite a bit of garbage is seen. Local government should maintain the beach better. The sand quality is as well average. Not my favourite, there are many beaches in Thailand are better than this.

Good beach in Hua Hin town. The con is that nothing is on the beach itself (except sunbeds for 100 baht, and resorts occupying all the beachfront).

    Still much better than pattaya

Where to stay in Hua Hin

Catering to the urban crowd from Bangkok and international visitors, Hua Hin offers a good selection of rooms to suit most budgets. Resort-style hotels and smaller boutiques generally remain closer to the sea, with some establishments offering direct access to the beach. Step back from the coast to see a drop in prices for simpler rooms in areas where guesthouses and hotels remain the norm. Explore the area around Phetkasem Road for more options with very competitively priced rooms.
