Marvel at the power and beauty of nature at Erawan Falls, a seven-tiered waterfall that cuts right through the national park bearing its name. Swim in the pools created by the flowing giant, and admire the surrounding caves, replete with interesting rock formations. With great views of the surrounding landscape from each level of the waterfall, getting to the top isn't a requirement, but more adventurous visitors may wish to expend the energy. A great variety of wildlife awaits, but take care lest you come across the more dangerous inhabitants, such as the king cobra or python. Erawan Falls Reviews
Un lugar con encanto, 7 cascadas donde te puedes bañar junto a los peces y disfrutar de la relajación que te da la selva. Una visita obligada cerca de Kanchanaburi more »A charming place, 7 waterfalls where you can swim with the fishes and enjoy the relaxation that gives you the jungle. A must-see near Kanchanaburi
Una divertida y mojada experiencia en la lagunas (cascadas) azules de Erawan. No está al alcance de todo el mundo llegar a las 7 cascadas, pues el camino es empinado y se hace largo. Merece la pena vi... more »A fun and wet experience in the lagoons (waterfalls) Erawan blue. It is not within the reach of everyone reaching the 7 waterfalls, because the road is steep and it is long. Visit the Park and above all bathing in their blue waters to cool off is worth. The fish you Peck if you're quiet. Beware of the monkeys, seem very quiet but if et distracted remove you sunglasses, hats and backpacks. There are moments that approach for the groups. As the day goes by, especially the first waterfalls are filled with people, it is best to go early. You can eat at the entrance, next to the parking lot, in bars thing, also there are toilets and places to change clothes. Essential shoes of swimwear, towel and water. The sale of alcohol is prohibited in the Park.
About 1 o'clock bus to Kanchanaburi, the Erawan Park is a great place to spend a day. We will walk in the jungle, but no need to be a pro to the hike because the trail is laid out and very easy access. The place is very clean, due to the policy of the authorities: the food is forbidden from the 3rd waterfall. Don't worry, there is a locker to leave your business. In the torpor Thai the various pools and waterfalls are welcome for to cool down in the middle of nature. A few precautions: attention to the soil, which can be slippery and mosquitoes who will feast on you! If you are lucky you can see one or two monkeys perched in the trees. Concerning the attendance it is better get there in the morning to the opening and do not stop at the 2 first waterfalls that are busiest. Practical information: count 300 baht / person for entry into the Park and 100 Baht / pers for the round trip by bus from Kanchanaburi.
MY GOD!!! I want to go back & visit this magical natural wonder again. I loved it so much. Everything! The 4 hour climb to the top level was worth the trek. The beautiful crystal clear pools at every level! The enchanting colourful butterflies. The fish nibbling at your feet whist bathing. It's 7 levels and at each level there is a pool with a waterfall to cool you down. One of the best forms of outdoor physical activity I've had.
Beautiful location, but best to go to the top levels early to avoid the madding crowd. Keep your eye out for a lovely pool just before level 7, which is quiet and a great spot to chill out as people race to level 7.
Great national park, totally worth coming even in the "dry season". I wish I had planned out more time to stay there. Go as far as you possibly can, since views are only getting better and less crowded. Come prepared and take some sport shoes if you want to get to the top.
Erawan Waterfall is recognized as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Thailand. Located in the Tenasserim Hills in Kanchanaburi Province, some 200 km northwest of Bangkok, Erawan has seven separate tiers and is part of a national park of the same name. Besides the waterfall, the park hosts a handful of limestone caves offering plenty of exploration opportunities to visitors.
One of the most enchanting places I have been and would take the time and trouble to go to all seven levels of waterfalls. It is well worth the visit. Try to get there early
