Erawan Falls, Erawan National Park
Categories: Waterfalls, Nature & Parks
Marvel at the power and beauty of nature at Erawan Falls, a seven-tiered waterfall that cuts right through the national park bearing its name. Swim in the pools created by the flowing giant, and admire the surrounding caves, replete with interesting rock formations. With great views of the surrounding landscape from each level of the waterfall, getting to the top isn't a requirement, but more adventurous visitors may wish to expend the energy. A great variety of wildlife awaits, but take care lest you come across the more dangerous inhabitants, such as the king cobra or python. I visited the falls at the end of September 2016. You need more than a couple hours to really enjoy all the tiers. They estimate a hike up to the 7th tier and back is roughly 2 hours. That seemed abou... read more »
Took a cheap bus here (50 Baht) from Kanchanaburi Bus Station. Options for coming here are pretty limited and the bus ride is rough and slow. But, the Falls themselves were really nice - great photo o... read more »
Many times I have been recommended to avoid advance summer and on long weekends because of low water, and lots of people. However, when the 7th water & cold cured.show original
Marvelous ! unbelievable ! 7 beautiful waterfalls. and you can swim in the river near the waterfalls. trees and plants everywhere, you feel like you are i the jungle (well actually you are). there's clear blue water everywhere with a lot of fish that come and nimble on your skin. its a scary experience at first but after a while it becomes kid of a massage (and its harmless of course). This is one of the must sees in Thailand ! if you don't do any swimming, its a 2h hike (up and back), but I strongly advice you to make time to relax in the water.
Not too far from town. Good 2 hours hike to get to the top. Beautiful rock formation. Blue-green water. Fishes that nimble your entire body. Safe. Great place to camp.
One of the best hikes we have ever done. We had so much fun. 7 main waterfalls along the path. It was fun to get in, swim around and enjoy the fish pedicures. Also, we saw snakes, monkeys, butterflies and a lot of other cool wildlife while there.
Very relaxing hike, was draught when I visited but the water was very clear and cool. Prepare for foreigners' entrance fee though.
Excellent. Crystal clear water. Starting Level is very good for swimming. Must trek to all seven levels to see the beauty of fall.
