Erawan Falls, Erawan National Park

4.4
#1 of 27 in Parks in Kanchanaburi Province
Marvel at the power and beauty of nature at Erawan Falls, a seven-tiered waterfall that cuts right through the national park bearing its name. Swim in the pools created by the flowing giant, and admire the surrounding caves, replete with interesting rock formations. With great views of the surrounding landscape from each level of the waterfall, getting to the top isn't a requirement, but more adventurous visitors may wish to expend the energy. A great variety of wildlife awaits, but take care lest you come across the more dangerous inhabitants, such as the king cobra or python. A well-equipped, comfortable Park walkway, driveway with parking. There are showers, toilets and a café. At multiple levels of the waterfall you can swim. The water is crystal clear and warm. Many fish that will attack you. If you are afraid to go wear shoes or socks.

Great activity is you're in town. It's a hike up, so bring walking sandals, wear a bathing suit and bring a towel. It's just a beautiful thing. Also, the fish will eat at your dead skin. Is gross and awesome at the same time.

Very nice but we only managed to go up to 2nd level. It was hot since we got here in the afternoon. But we saw many people having fun

We visited the Erawan Falls in the afternoon. We had loads of fun, still we didn't make it to the top level because of the heat! The walking trip up the waterfalls was great and at the 5th level we took a nice and cool swim.

I tried getting here early to miss the crowds, but only made it around 10am. At this point there was already a few groups around. Though it was a Saturday so there were many Thai people. It's slightly expensive at 300 baht for a tourist to enter the park. The water is really nice to swim in, especially on a hot day. After the 5th level, the path gets a little difficult but most people should be able to manage it. The water is filed with fish which like to nibble at your feet. This can be a little unnerving but can be a nice experience. However, if you go to the deep water or keep moving, they leave you alone. The 7th (and last) level is worth seeing as the waterfalls change into a calcium/limestone (?) type fall which colours the water white. There is some park security making sure people shouldn't climb where they're not allowed. To my surprise, any food or drink is banned beyond the 3rd level. They let you take one water bottle (if you pay a deposit of 20 baht) with you. There's no drinks available on the way up, so make sure you're hydrated. This park is well maintained and for the most part; trash free. I think I spent at least 4 hours here. It's nice to swim about in, and I had a hammock which was lovely to fall asleep in!

Foreigners 300 baht + vehicle fee. Locals 100 baht. Reconsider your visit.
