Bang Saen Beach, Chonburi

3.2
#2 of 19 in Things to do in Chonburi
Feel the salt water breeze and the waves lap against your feet at Bang Saen Beach. More popular with locals than with tourists, this colorful beach has all the amenities, including sun chairs and umbrellas dotting the sand. Tasty seafood kiosks dishing up the local catch of the day line the boardwalk, along with restaurants and coffee shops. Take a break from the surf and browse the handful of clothing stores and outlets nearby. To visit Bang Saen Beach and other attractions in Chonburi, use our Chonburi online trip builder .

  • A nice place to relax by the beach for a weekend and not far away from the busy bangkok. Nice Thai food at the beach and you can even fire away some firework in the evening.  more »

  • Popular among Thai people not much foreigners there. The beach itself is quite nice I prefer this beach to Pattaya beach but still can't compare to all those truly paradise beaches like in remote islands of Thailand.
  • Nice beach, well maintained. Very busy during the weekend, and very quiet during the week. Lots of restaurants along the the beach. The beach is many kilometres long and beautiful all the way. The seawater is often a little sludgy, but if you come there early in the morning, around 6am, the weather is nice and cool, not too hot, and the water is nice and clear. Many people choose this time for taking a swim. The people at the beach are also very friendly! Among the friendliest I've ever met in Thailand. Both people working there, and people traveling there.
  • Better not visit on weekends or public holidays.
  • Half of Bangkok seems to be there on a busy weekend. But it's a well designed and kept promenade. Good facilities. Food outlets and huge hotel complexes. The monkey dominated hill is also worth a drive around. Keep the Windows shut!
  • Nice beach, there is a big walkway so you can jog and in the evening there are many stalls open serving local food
