  • I strongly believe that animals should live free in their natural environment. However, not all of them were so lucky. Some were bitten, starving, worked hard, lived in small cages or had accidents...  more »

  • This place was absolutely amazing!!!! Not only were the amenities fantastic: complimentary hotel pick up, clean and sanitary bathrooms and showers, fresh water and authentic home made food for lunch- but, the care and love this establishment has for the elephants is truly amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this sanctuary to anyone and everyone. I would 100% go back again simply because of the ethical practice and love and playfulness each employee shows for the elephants. And the amenities are a cherry on top! Thank you Green Elephant Sanctuary my Fiancee and I had a wonderful time!
  • Best sanctuary anyone could ask for. It was opened a year ago by a Swiss guy and he really has got the elephants best interest at heart! There is no riding and no chains and they're all rescued or brought from other 'sanctuaries'. They have 2 tourist visits a day for 3 hours the rest of the day they are up walking through the jungle. 3 baby calves here and seeing them running for there bath is truly something magical. These elephants are very happy here worth every penny to see how happy they are! Nice all you can eat buffet and all you can drink cans if pop or water. In my opinion a stepping stone for Thailand that all other sanctuaries should follow in.
  • This place is amazing! What they are doing is well worth paying a little more for...it is an ethical sanctuary that are rescuing elephants that are abused and miss treated in Phuket. You feed, mud scrub and bath the animals and your money goes to helping for their up keep and to try and save more animals. The staff clearly care about the elephants and they offer a unique experience that funds their good work - I can not praise them enough 😀
  • We visited with our five kids (ages 3 to 10) on our last day of a two-week holiday...all of the children agreed this was the BEST thing we did! We'd driven past the 'Meet a Baby Elephant' chained up on our way to the Big Buddha...so sad. If you want to see & support elephants in Thailand visit this place...much better than other 'sanctuaries' who still offer elephant rides :-(
  • Absolutely the highlight of my trip to Thailand! The guides were amazing and so helpful, the place is clean and well organized. Couldn’t recommend this place more! They treat their animals wonderfully and it really shows, the elephants are so friendly and gentle.
