  • Gives detailed information about the exhibited objects, which are thousands, collected by a real enthusiast. This is a must in Chiang Rai!  more »
  • Over the years I've visited many museums. This is certainly in the top 5 for me. If you're interested in the history and artifacts from the ancient "Lanna Kingdom", then you must visit here. The colle...  more »
  • (Compulsory) guided tour is super interesting. In English... but made great efforts for the poor french who suck in that language! Exciting on the Lanna culture. See, actually. Tea offered after the visit is divine :) And the price of this museum is justified because this collection is the work of a passionate individual. Without him, it's a whole page of their history that would be not handed down.

  • Don't be intimidated by the 300 baht entry fee. This place is worth the price. Unlike many museum in Thailand which you only look around. This museum provide a guide to explain various things to you. This museum is privately owned and the owner have vast collections of valuable antiques. And because it's escorted from room to room, you won't be able to go back to the room after you left. No turning back, so you should really take your time to observe what you are interested in.
  • Treasure trove of Lanna artworks, spectacular displays, much better collections than the government run regional museum, with this price you got 1 hour guided tour and a complimentary tea. It was a very pleasant delight, worth every cent.
  • A closely curated exhibition of artifacts collected from different kings and tribal regions. The level of craftsmanship seen in the silverwares are quite curious. You can see the style that each era and region varies in the sculptures of Buddha. Entry fee is 300Bahtbfor adults and 200bahy for children.
  • Too expensive for what you get. For the same price as the entrance fee you can get a motorbike and go to one of the nearby waterfalls! Keep in mind that you will only find ancient items from royal families and high ranking peoples at this museum. Lots of expensive highly decorated items.
  • Very interesting museum, we visited it in a rainy day. The guide is very kind and will accurately describe everything in the huge collection of ancient pieces. An interesting fact is that the museum and its collection where built by a single man in the span of 36 years
