Khun Korn Waterfall, Chiang Rai

4.0
#2 of 6 in Parks in Chiang Rai
Waterfall Nature / Park
Mighty and powerful, Khun Korn Waterfall plunges 70 m (230 ft), creating a constant layer of mist around it. This natural wonder lies tucked away within the lush, exotic wilderness; reach it via a short forest trek from the parking lot. Come prepared to get wet in the spray and wear adequate hiking shoes to avoid slipping. A shallow pool of water, about waist-deep, lies below the fall. Brave swimmers can sit under the force of water, but be cautioned that the bottom is very rocky. Pack a picnic and enjoy one of the region's most popular and beautiful natural landmarks. • 1.4 km up to the waterfall is not easy for everyone. You must be fit enough. I was proud, me and my husband we could arrive at the waterfall in our age 59 years old.  more »
  • We got here a part of a hiking package with Coconut Tours, but one could self-bundle a tour with a tuk-tuk to Wat Rong Khun. We didn't see any drive-by taxis or tuktuks, so you'd want to hire a driver...  more »
  • We decided to visit the waterfall on a whim while we were around Chiang Rai. In a dress and flip flops, it was a bit of a hike but completely worth it. The serenity of the place was probably the best ...  more »
