  • Decent night bazaar. Food, live music, cheap craft, item. Smaller than most cities in Thailand. Good spot to hangout if bored.  more »
  • A lot of people in this mess, but not only of tourists. Fairly substantial choice of various objects (clothes, memories) at an affordable price. 2 squares, many shops that sell food (go look for and pay has each shop), unless you have the chance of a lifetime (there, you order, you are served and you pay when you leave). Band, dance traditional Thai (much less than a few years ago). A good atmosphere.

  • The night market is not too large when compared to the night market in bangkok, such as neon and talad train night market. Here we can buy souvenirs such as shirts, key chains, bags. Here there is also a food stand. In my time here, the market is not so crowded, so can walk easily.

  • Popular place for tourist and local night out. Great street food. Inexpensive. Just grab a good seat. Enjoy the live Thai music. Look around and order whatever food of your choice. Draft beer also served here. It is ok just to have a beer. No one pushy around for food. All food order are self service except when you order a tower of beer. Day time behind the night bazaar is flower market, fruit market, toy market.
  • This is the very popular night bazaar in Chiang Rai. It is permanently set up near the Old Bus Station in the centre of town. I have gone shopping there and I have eaten there too, but only in the newer section, which has cleaner tables and a real kitchen area. The other section (which is more popular with tourists) gives me a bit of the creeps, mostly because I have biked around there in the daytime a lot and it could use an upgrade and a clean-up. T-shirts, hats, and other items I don'y mind buying there, but I usually go there early in the evening and leave before the transvestite shows start. Never mind the tourists are on a holiday, I'm here for a longer stay and need my sleep.
  • Nice place to visit if you are not yet tired of sight seeing. Lots of wood and leather stuff and jade too... there's a restaurant in the middle but we were not able to try...too many people at that time. We just got ourselves strawberries from street vendors. Paid restroom for 3 baht is clean...
  • A little touristy, but the food here is good. Locals and tourists alike here. Facilities are decently maintained with plenty of tables to eat at. The vibe here is friendly and there is little in the way of touts or other hard sells. Relax and enjoy!
  • It's nice, especially with the live performance (two Thai guys playing guitar this time). However, all of the food costs around 50 baht which is a bit more than it should. It's probably a good place for big groups as everyone can pick what they want but still eat together.
