  • Beautiful peaceful temple; really beneficial to have a guide to explain the amazing history and special features of this place. A lovely change of pace on the way down after visiting Doi Suthep.  more »

  • It's the best temple in Chiang Mai, much better than the most famous one. There were so much incredible view around the temple. It was really quiet and peace due to not much people visited which can clean ur mind and get ur brain some rest, I'm glad that I went to this temple during this trip in Chiang Mai.
  • Compared to other temples in Chiang Mai, Wat Pha Lat is not colourful or painted with gold, but it's a very authentic and spiritual temple. The beautiful part is actually the area where the monks live, behind the temple, next to a river in the middle of the forest. It's immersed in nature, with an amazing view, very quiet, and becomes one with the nature surrounding it.
  • I enjoyed Wat Pha Lat more than Wat Doi Suthep simply because it was so quiet. While all the tourists are clambering about at the top of the mountain, you can come here for some peace and serenity. Reach it by hiking about an hour on the Monk's Trail for the full experience.
  • Amazing small temple, quiet, secluded and peaceful. It can be reached by hiking up the monk's trail. The place itself is very pleasant and in my opinion better than doi suthep.
  • My favorite temple in CM. The hike through the jungle to get there is so nice and relaxing. And the temple is not yet contaminated by tourists, so the relaxing feel continues. Great place for meditating
