  • We went as a family. A taxi took us there directly. It's a pretty typical place that shows us step by step the making of parasols. It is possible to customize a parasol, or to participate in the development. I recommend the visit of such a place, this changes the temples and allows you to admire a local craft probably endangered.

  • This place is a taxi ride from town, but an interesting Thai adventure to the Sankampaeng district where there are some traditional Thai handicrafts such as umbrella making. We have been coming here f...  more »

  • We visited it on our first day in Chang Mai, led by our local guide, likely on a commission. It was fun for the kids to see how rice paper and umbrellas are made. Quick and beautiful paintings on their shorts and t-shirts helped too.
