Where to stay in Chiang Mai

While visiting Chiang Mai, keep in mind that the old town district and the area surrounding the famous night market offer both boutique (relatively expensive) and backpacker (relatively inexpensive) options. The riverside neighborhoods boast exclusive hotels and resorts, where comparatively pricey rooms come with good views and extensive facilities.

  • It's far from reaching equality with Singapore's lush Garden of Eden. (Botanic Garden). Nonetheless, It's worth 2-3 hours of your time. FYI, it's under construction and isn't maintained to a high standard.
  • I went along December 2016 I didn't do any research on the park before I went. All I did was see it on Google maps and thought I would go and have a look. Once there I went in and found out you can either, walk around, cycle around or take a bus to get around the park. The bus stops around the park at the various attractions. I went with the bus option. I saw the whole park on the bus first and used this as an over view and made a note of what stops to get off and look around. What I did see I enjoyed, various places all different with plenty to see and read about. I took loads of photos and the day I went it wasn't that busy so even better. Lovely views here also and I really enjoyed my visit. It was easy for me to get to as I had rented a scooter. I think you can get a taxi here but not sure of the cost. Once again another good place to go that isn't full of back packers like the old city. Well worth going to.
  • Beautiful garden. Great to ride on a tram. To walk around is not bad.
  • Huge agrden. Requires transportation within the gardens. Not an jaws dropping experiwnce but cute.
  • Give yourself several hours to explore here. There are a lot of wonderful sights which seem sort of hidden. These shots were both taken in the "Shaded Paradise".
