  • What an experience! Streets of shops, a huge market hall and then more streets full of stalls selling just about everything. Some of it is set up for tourists but on the day we visited, locals easily ...  more »
  • It seems to Chiang Mai in the largest markets. Market, such as grocery stores, clothing stores, grocery stores, food court, all the things that have been. By the way, the dentist's. Only the Warorot Market underground 1st floor, large 3-story building (Kad Luang), walk to the might be fun. We recommend.

  • At first sight, I was not impressed as it did not have the dynamism or scale of the famed Jatuchak Mkt in Bangkok. However, with open mind, I explored and discovered with ease the main mkt & the meand...  more »

  • During daytime hours go into the nearby streets to shops where mostly Thais shop for excellent prices. Most Thais speak enough English to help you. If you try to speak their language it makes them pleased to offer you a great deal sometimes. Don't push for a better deal until you do the conversion math. They're already giving you amazingly low prices. Have bit of a heart if you can. Great people!
  • Wonderful experience you must have. Try local foods and interact with locals. I would recommend downloading a translation app. It helped me. Seating to rest is scarce.
  • One of the best markets in town with somewhat overpriced fruits but great street food and a dazzling array of goods. The most interesting part is around the Chinese temple in the middle where you can take a peek into local workshops including those of hilltribe artisans. Morning is the best time to visit but open all day. The flower market happens very early.
  • A fun place to shop with lots of locals, good prices, but you might need a GPS if you don't want to get lost. Lots of markets and many side alleys to explore! Took me several times before I got my landmarks down. Definitely worth a look or two or three.
  • Was a lovely little locals market we found some good bargains there. The locals were very polite and it made you feel welcome. Also there is different things there compared to the tourist market. Not to mention it's cheaper :-)
