  • Great food and super cheap prices on the bottom floor. Totally recommend it. It's hard to find, and there's almost no tourists here for food. Probably because it's so hard to find.
  • Built in 1910, this market is the oldest market in Chiang Mai. Aside from being historical and famous among locals, especially the older generations, it is very well-known among tourists, Thai and foreigners alike. It is known for being the biggest market in Chiang Mai where you can find all kind of food & dry product you want. There are clothes on 2nd & 3rd floor but most people come for food and dry products on the first floor. Sellers are friendly and price are negotiable.
  • A pretty decent market, with preserved and dry goods in the center buildings and produce and wet markets surrounding the dry goods areas. The fruit I got here was decent but I wish there were more cooked food stalls. The organization overall is not very clear and a lot of the market is dark even during the day.
  • Don't be fooled when you see all the daytime shops closing down around 5pm. . . There is a night market here a well! During the day, you can check out the indoor-shops (and a few along the street as well), and at night, you can eat street food and check out the walking street open-air market!
  • Get your comfortable shoes on ready to explore this busy local market. Virtually everything you could want to purchase here you just need the patience to look for it. Better prices than the Sunday market in the old city if you look around.
