  • This is merely a bridge across the Ping River. It has one way traffic for motorized vehicles and pedestrian lanes on either side. If you visit during Lantern Festival you’ll see lots of people on the ...  more »
  • I'm here 2 x. That is the night when the celebration of loy krathong on the lively crowded then the next morning with the atmosphere flips because it is silent. Had I want to visit again the afternoon. It seems interesting enough to enjoy the twilight with views of the river which divides the city. Let alone heard local young children spent much of the afternoon here. Unfortunately the agenda had to be changed suddenly. Overall, the bridge is quite presentable and clean to be enjoyed. However it is not recommended to visit if your time is limited due to the many other places that are more instagrammable in Chiang Mai

  • The names of the past Trek, called the fighting Edition of the Quran says is sometimes referred to as legs. Come from China or the old town Cafe, you'll come out with a lot of moving East. At night I would have illuminated by colorful cute. Roy ggeuratong when it comes to enjoying the festivities from around the locals can melt to see.

  • The bridge is not just functional but cool! It's the lower south side bridge over the Mae Ping and right next to The River Market Restaurant and Bus Bar. It's just one way heading out from the city. So don't try and go the other way. At night you can see plenty of youth hanging around and taking photos. The changing colors make it a bit of an icon. Just be careful during Loy Kratong Festival, it becomes like a war zone with many people using it as a launch zone for their fireworks, which often go awry, but generally it's quite safe.
  • The view alongside the river and the iron bridge was good, but do pay attention to the busy traffic on the road. The scene on the river and the iron bridge itself is a bit thin for really regarding this site a tourist spot.
  • Interesting bridge a short walk away from the night market. There are restaurants on both sides and a quirky looking bus bar. You can see locals fishing along the side of the river.
  • The bridge crosses the Ping river. I’ve crossed it many times on route to another place, so it’s a bridge you pass over but on the occasion of Loy Grathong this is the place to be. It was mostly closed for traffic except for medical emergencies or some VIP’s but it was like a mall this night & really allowed a view of the sky & the river. A fun night!
  • Very nice place ..Chiang Mai during this Loy Krathong is a must..and Iron Brigge is realy a hotspot..

Where to stay in Chiang Mai

While visiting Chiang Mai, keep in mind that the old town district and the area surrounding the famous night market offer both boutique (relatively expensive) and backpacker (relatively inexpensive) options. The riverside neighborhoods boast exclusive hotels and resorts, where comparatively pricey rooms come with good views and extensive facilities.
