  • The museum was under renovation works so the entrance was free. The exhibition was interesting but very small. I don't know if it is bigger when fully open.
  • My visit was December 2016. There was renovation work going on at the time. I found it to be very interesting as I wondered around reading the information and looking at all the items on display. Some videos to watch also. Free entry which is always a winner. Any bags etc you put into a locker.
  • Large area, but very few exhibits. Doesn't take long to see, but what there is interesting.
  • It is a good place for getting historical information concerning the Northern Thailand. The expo is pretty good with chart in English saying about rulers, kingdoms, fighting in this place. At least I clarified what is it Lanna Kingdom. More over there are a lot of artifacts both as dinosaurs' period as human culture. Unfortunately the second floor was closed due to rebuilt works. Also there is reason of no fee to enter for foreigners. Normal fee is 100 baths. Green park is around main building. Location is not good for walking. So you have to care about transfer from the museum. I enjoyed this place ands recommend to come here for extending outlook concerning the Northern Thailand.
  • Feb 2016 loud renovation still continues, therefore no admission fee. Museum is well maintained and informative.
