  • Save you the journey towards it. Just some old images of Budha in a small building. The rest was closed due to maintenance. Although it has been shown to save the travel can visit free and anything else. Waste of time.

  • My visit was December 2016. There was renovation work going on at the time. I found it to be very interesting as I wondered around reading the information and looking at all the items on display. Some...  more »
  • Under renovation so it was free. At the reception desk photo shoot may flash block and an explanation was. History and culture of northern Thailand is a Buddhist was, not to mention costumes up for ordinary people from the aristocracy and furniture. Diorama of the war, battlefield had been reproduced in light and sound. In the Museum in Thailand Development's will. You know country focuses on grounds major buildings.

  • It is a good place for getting historical information concerning the Northern Thailand. The expo is pretty good with chart in English saying about rulers, kingdoms, fighting in this place. At least I clarified what is it Lanna Kingdom. More over there are a lot of artifacts both as dinosaurs' period as human culture. Unfortunately the second floor was closed due to rebuilt works. Also there is reason of no fee to enter for foreigners. Normal fee is 100 baths. Green park is around main building. Location is not good for walking. So you have to care about transfer from the museum. I enjoyed this place ands recommend to come here for extending outlook concerning the Northern Thailand.
  • Feb 2016 loud renovation still continues, therefore no admission fee. Museum is well maintained and informative.
  • 展馆设施陈旧,展品数量较少,质量一般,唯独博物馆花园区环境还行。
  • 了解一个地方,参观博物馆和当地的集市是最好的方法,免费的博物馆,可以了解兰纳时期的文化和民俗!
  • If one is interested in the history of Thailand, then one is in the right place at the Chiang Mai National Museum. At present there is a renovation place whereby half of the museum is not open to the public. The following sections were open: prehistory, the lanna kingdom and Chiang Mai under the Kingdom of Siam. Nevertheless, the renovation was this museum very interesting to visit it and worth to take a look
