I accidentally stumbled upon this park while looking for Wat Chedi Luang. A mix of people (sunbathing, exercising, meandering) occupied the green space. I would rate it higher but if one has gone to E...  more »

There are not many parks in town, so it's nice to be able to relax, or whatever else, here, though it an get hot, even without exercising. I like coming here and then going to nearby veg restaurant (e...  more »

This is the perfect place to get in a little exercise. Run laps, stop on every circuit to use a captain's chair, a pull-up stand, a contraption to do dips and push-ups. Come early before it gets too h...  more »

Popular for morning exercises, be it jogging or shadow boxing or other kinds of working out. Mostly quiet, but a little noise from the street. You can sit down and relax on the benches and reflect about life and Thai culture or whatever, while looking at the trimmers and joggers passing by, the fishes in the pond or watch different kinds of birds looking for their breakfast. Or you can go there later in the day, when more crowded by people having their lunch break. You can buy fresh prepared food from the numerous stalls inside and outside the park and have picnic on the lawns. OBS: No alcohol allowed in the Park. Not smoking either, I guess...

As a parent of a three year old this place is one of the best free experiences in Chiang Mai. One reason is that there is one of the best outdoor playgrounds I have come across so far in Chiang Mai. This is a new plastic based play area and replaces the older metal structures. It is by no means extensive but by Chiang Mai standards it is excellent. You can also feed the fish, run around the paths, get refreshments and have a picnic. You can spend a good half day in this City Park with young children. As for adults this is a nice bit of green space, with plenty of shade, in the city. Good for sitting and reading a book, using the free exercise machines or having a nice walk around. Great for locals and tourists alike.

Green oasis in the city! You can rent a mat (15THB), buy a drink, jog, do yoga, eat or have a massage. A cool place to relax!

A city park just barely inside the inner city. Good to hang out with family and kids. On some occasions, live entertainment and light show performanced here. Free entrance for all. Drinks, beer, street food vendors are available during the night.

This park is tucked in the one quadrant of the old town I've never explored. What a great surprise. It's a beautiful park with well manicured gardens. It has many water features and areas to explore. There were several vendors that offer food and refreshments. A Great place to spend the afternoon with friends and family.
