Anusarn Market, Chiang Mai

(300+ reviews on the web)
Flea Market
Lively and colorful, Anusarn Market attracts locals and tourists alike to its night bazaar. A few permanent shops, bars, and restaurants remain open during the day, but the authentic kiosks and stalls don't set up until the sun has set. Local vendors sell virtually everything: clothing, shoes, lighting, music, handicrafts, gifts, and souvenirs. If you get hungry check out the many authentic and inexpensive Thai, Asian, Indian, and seafood options. Rejuvenate with a traditional Thai massage or try a fish foot rub. Note that bargaining is commonplace, so come prepared to barter. By using our Chiang Mai trip itinerary maker, you can arrange your visit to Anusarn Market and other attractions in Chiang Mai.

  • This market is the largest with tons of shops, restaurants, street food and a cabaret show. If you got to choice between all the night markets, Ploen Ruedee and Anusarn is the best.  more »

  • You can visit this Market if you like to buy a souvenir or something to eat. If you keep walking you will visit the night market, which is almost the same style. At night there's live music at the Bar's. I would say that if you plan to stay at Chiang Mai, stay close to these market's because they are close to everything and everything will be easier for you.
  • Located near the bottom end of the Chiamg Mai Night Bazaar on Chang Khlan Road, this market holds its own very special charm. There are several excellent Thai massagr studios, tasty food spots and heaps of undercover vendor stalls and shops selling clothing, shoes, lighting, music, handicrafts, gifts and souvenirs. Remember to bargain for your purchases.
  • Great to walk around early in the evening. The market is not great for food when you compare it to other markets in CM, but its great for artisanal stuff -- from leather goods to hand-made magnets. There's a happening Irish pub here that expats frequent.
  • A lots of food and drink, they have ladyboys show every night at 9.30pm or you can walk around shopping or massage.
  • Nice market place for tourists. Lot of activities for everyone. Food was food too.
