  • Chiang Mai is famous for the Nigth Market permanently, nothing compares to the Sunday Market. This Sunday market begins at 17.30 and becomes a part of the historic centre in a characteristic street market where you can find everything from clothing to food to local handicraft. The scents of local cuisine, the home environment, the Organization (which in some ways it might seem disorganization and chaos) make you realize the true pace of Thai life. I strongly advise you to try eating stalls, definitely do not meet European hygiene standards, but the flavors are definitely unique, that's part of the experience. I was there in the period immediately after the death of the King, at a certain time they stopped everyone, they turned off the lights and lit candles all around and began a prayer, very impressive. An unforgettable experience, really worth trying.

  • Visited 2 times during their visit. And sing the national anthem at 18:00 19 from past singing King of upright, so little time you like better. I felt better since not long after the death of the King, and most people are dark-colored clothes were Thailand, overexposure and flashy clothes declined as a Manor. Larger than the Saturday market, was not around at one time. Recommended or passed through the streets where the note is divided into several times I'm divided road from the main street, so, you want to see all over. To bargain because there was no similar products, but in the shops amounts changing up there, like your own is better, bought on the spot. It was crowded from 7 pm, can't see the shops on the reverse side.
