The best markets visited in Bangkok. A must see for every tourist. Do not miss it. Look for the history of this area when you arrive. Interesting what this place was used for during WWII  more »

Nice... but very touristy. You can find a flat varies(mexicain, italien, barbecue, français et meme dele de fois gras!!) with different choices of beers and wine. And of course two choices of thai restaurants. It is not the traditional good street but we spent a very pleasant evening... and is located below the cielio that allows to have a nightcap with a sublime view.

Great stop for food in Bangkok. Atmosphere is good, variety of Thai and western food. Ended up going back night after night to try different foods. The Toastie cheese sandwich lady makes the best I've ever had!

This place is fantastic to come to in the evenings for food. It's a very sociable place and great to meet with friends. There is a great variety of restaurants and stalls to get food from, as well as a few bars. It's very casual and comfortable, and the restaurant owners and workers are always friendly.

Excellent selection of cuisine ranging from Thai street food to banh Mi to Japanese ramen to burgers. Outdoorsy vibe pretty cool too. Feels quite indie/mom and pop (a good thing to me), not a super commercialized food court inside a mall.

My fav. hangout for casual dinner. Be wary of the bar on the corner, their beer towers are stale and they don't do refunds. Order your drinks from the waiters wearing green - they're much more accommodating.

Alot of places to choose from to eat. A bit price then street stalls. But good beer garden feel. Mainly farang expats.

Where to stay in Bangkok

As a commercial, cultural, and tourist center, Bangkok offers a great diversity of accommodations. For long established and chain hotels, try Sukhumvit Road and the areas surrounding the central Siam Square, where budget and luxury rooms are available in abundance. If you are looking for the backpacker zone, head to Khaosan Road, where you'll find a wealth of inexpensive, simple accommodations surrounded by businesses tailored to traveler's needs. Consider staying at a guesthouse to gain a deeper understanding of Thai life.
